Sepals lanceolate acuminate, '25 in. long. Petals shorter narrower. Lip lanceolate, base saccate, side-lobes involute hardly distinct, midlobe blunt. Anther ovate beaked curved upwards. Rostellum o. Hab. In forests scarce and difficult to find. Pahang, Gunong Tahan (Haniff). Malacca, Merlimau. Selangor, Semangkok Pass (Ridley). Distrib. Java, Borneo, Philippines. 93. ANlECTOCHILUS, BI. Terrestrial herbs; stems ascending. Leaves ovate or lanceolate; petioled. Scapes glandular pubescent. Flowers medium size or small. Upper sepal adnate to petals forming a hood, laterals spreading. Lip adnate to column base, base saccate or spurred. Side-lobes erect or spreading; midlobe clawed, claw often pectinate, blade broadly bilobed, lobes divaricate or nearly entire, round. Column short with 2 wings in front. Anther lanceolate. Pollinia clubbed on a shield-like disc. Rostellum long bifid. Stigmata 2 pustular on each side of rostellum.
