Bracts ovate-Ianceolate, '25 to '5 in. long. Pedicels and ovary<br />

'5 to I in. long. _ Upper sepal lanceolate, laterals ovate-Ianceolate<br />

falcate acwninate, '3 in. long, yellow mottled brown outside, strawcolour<br />

inside. Petals linear oblong blunt. Lip spathulate, clawed,<br />

side-lobes short, midlobe round with 3 mealy keels on disc between<br />

side lobes. Capsule cylindric blunt angled, 3 to 4 in. long, very<br />

slender. Hab. On trees at 800 ft. altitude. Perak, Kal (Kunstler) ;<br />

Tanjong Malim (Williams). Distrib. Borneo.<br />

Stems terete, 2 to 3 ft. long, '25 in. through. Leaves narrow<br />

linear-Ianceolate acuminate, 4 in. long, '25 in. wide; sheaths dilate<br />

upwards, '75 to I in. long. Racemes hardly '5 in. long, with several<br />

acute lanceolate red-brown bracts '5 in. long. Flower solitary,<br />

white, nearly I in. wide; pedicel and ovary '5 in. long. Upper<br />

sepal oblong blunt, laterals broad ovate reflexed; mentmn short<br />

very broad blunt. Petals oblong rounded as broad as upper sepal.<br />

Lip short-clawed broad, obovate round, side-lobes obscure, midlobe<br />

broad, 2 curved lamina! on disc. Column foot long. Hab.<br />

Selangor, Batu Caves (Kelsall). Perak (Scortechini). Dlstrib.<br />

Stems weak sub-terete, 18 in. long. Leaves dun, lanceolate<br />

acuminate unequally bilobed, 3 in. long, '25 in. wide, sheaths nearly<br />

I in. long. Racemes very short, few-flowered, with 4 empty<br />

yellow pubescent bracts '12 in. long at base. Ovary and pedicel<br />

'36 in. long, pubescent. Flowers nearly '5 in. long, white. Upper<br />

sepal lanceolate blunt, laterals straight or falcate acute; mentum<br />

short blunt. Petals lanceolate, all white. Lip shorter, narrow<br />

obcuneate, side-lobes round, midlobe hardly longer oblong, obscurely<br />

3-lobed covered wi_th yellow papillose hairs, a yellow line towards<br />

base. Column curved with an orange spot on base. Pollinia 4<br />

large and 4 very small. Capsule terete, 2 in. long. Hab. Perak,<br />

Stems tufted, 5 to 9 in. tall, '25 in. through, grooved. Leaves<br />

at top linear-Ianceolate, 5 to 8 in. long, '75 to 1 in. wide. Racemes<br />

from below leaves 3 in. long, densely floriferous, axillary. Axillary<br />

bract ovate brown. Floral bracts ovate acute, reflexed. Flowers<br />

'25 in. long, white. Upper sepal ovate acute, laterals oblique<br />

triangular; mentum twice as long. Petals lanceolate acute. Lip,<br />

side-lobes acute, midlobe spathulate, apex broad truncate. Column<br />

short, foot long. Capsule terete, '5 in. long. Hab Common on<br />

trees, Singapore (Wallich); Sungei Buluh; Selitar. Johor, Tana<br />

Runto. Pahang, Tahan River. Selangor, Sepan (Ridley). Negri<br />
