Leaves several obovate-Ianceolate cuspidate, base narrowed,<br />

8 in. long, 3 in. wide; petioles 6 in. long. Scape 30 in. tall; raceme<br />

4 in. long. Flowers about 25. Bracts ovate cuspidate pubescent<br />

persistent, '25 in. long, lower ones lanceolate. Pedicels'5 in. long.<br />

Sepals ovate cuspidate. Petals narrower sub-spathulate, white,<br />

'5 in. long. Lip little longer, 4-lobed, side-lobes erect, oblong<br />

round, midlobe obovate bilobed, lobes round fimbriate, spur filIform,<br />

'5 in long; callus horseshoe-shaped, yellow. Column violet.<br />

Fruit elliptic, '5 in. long. Hab. Rare, Mountain woods by streams,<br />

Pahang, Telom (Ridley).<br />

Leaves herbaceous pubescent beneath, elliptic acuminate<br />

narrowed to base; nerves elevate 7; I ft. long, 4 in. wide; petioles<br />

6 in. long, densely velvety pubescent. Inflorescence 18 in. tall,<br />

pubescent, raceme 6 in. long. Flowers numerous crowded. Bracts<br />

persistent, lanceolate acuminate, upper ones ovate acuminate,<br />

pubescent, '5 in. long, '12 in. wide at base. Pedicels I in. long,<br />

pubescent. Sepals oblong-ovate acutely acuminate puberulous<br />

outside. Petals similar smaller. Lip side-lobes oblong rounded at<br />

tip short, midlobe deeply bilobed with a narrow claw, lobes spathulate<br />

with a long narrow claw, rounded at the tip, calli of 7 or 8<br />

short tubercles in a line on the narrow claw of the lip, upper ones<br />

connate, spur very slender, nearly filiform, '5 in. long. Column<br />

base narrower, top dilate. Hab. Jungle at 2000 ft. altitude. Jalor,<br />

long. Scapes 4 to 12 in. long, slender, a large sheathing bract near<br />

base; raceme lax or dense, 2 to 3 in. long. Flowers white. Bracts<br />

lanceolate acuminate, 1'5 in. long, caducous; pedicel and ovary<br />

'5 in. long. Sepals oblong acute. Petals broad. Lip sub-equally<br />

4-lobed, midlobe retuse, 2 triangular plates at base yellow, spur<br />

curved clubbed, '25 in. long. Capsule '75 in. long. Hab. Mountain<br />

forests at 3000 to 5000 ft. altitude. Pahang, K'luang Terbang<br />
