blunt nearly as large, all dull yellow lined and spotted red.<br />

Lip very small, pink fleshy, base broadly emarginate, sides compressed,<br />

tip decurved, hardly '25 in. long. Column foot long, free,<br />

sides winged, arms obscure. Hab. Pahang, Gunong Tahan at 4000<br />

to 5000 ft. altitude (Robinson).<br />

Rhizome slender; pseudo bulbs crowded or IIp to 5 in. apart<br />

cylindric, 2 in. long. Leaf lanceolate acute, 5 to 6 in. long, 1'25<br />

in. wide. Peduncle 4 in. long, with 4 or 5 ovate cuspidate sheaths.<br />

Flowers 2 or 3, 2 in. long in a very short raceme; pedicels '75 in.<br />

long. Bracts '25 in. long. Upper sepal ovate acute, I in. long,<br />

'36 in. wide, laterals twisted. Petals much smaller, broad ovate.<br />

All greenish yellow spotted red. Lip stipitate tongue-shaped acute<br />

curved, '5 in. long. Column foot long, slender, arms very short.<br />

Hab. Johor, Rulu Batu Pahat (Kelsall); Tanjong Kupang (Ridley).<br />

Rhizome stout long; pseudobulbs 3 in. apart, conic I in. long.<br />

Leaf lanceolate blunt, 3 to 6 in. long, 2 in. wide; petiole I in.<br />

long. Peduncle 'S in. long. Flowers 8, in a dense raceme 'S in. long ;<br />

with rachis thickened; I in. across, deep red fO!tid. Sepals ovate<br />

sub-acute hairy on edge, laterals connate. Petals lanceolate falcate,<br />

edge' hairy. Lip thick not stipitate, with a short, thick<br />

claw, blade deflexed, broad blunt tongue-shaped, warty with<br />

2 hooked processes near base and 2 keels red. Column rather<br />

long, foot short, arms short erect, pale red-spotted. Anther conic<br />

yellow. Hab. Rare. Kedah Peak at 4000 ft. altitude (Ridley).<br />

Rhizome long creeping, almost covered with adnate pseudobulbs,<br />

oblong horizontally appressed, tips only upcurved, 'S in.<br />

long. Leaf elliptic-Ianceolate acute petioled, 1'5 in. long, '25 in.<br />

wide. Scape slender, 2'5 in. long, with a lanceolate acuminate<br />

sheathing bract. Pedicel and ovary '75 in. long. Sepals subequal<br />

very narrow linear acuminate caudate, 1'25 in. long. Petals<br />

linear blunt, shorter. Lip tongue-shaped acuminate blunt, orange<br />

colour, base cordate, lip curved, a groove in centre. Column arms<br />

subulate. Hab. Very rare, Selangor, Gunong Mengkuang Lebah<br />

(Robinson).<br />
