ditches and swamps, Singapore, Changi. Malacca, Bukit Bruang

Terrestrial stems, graceful terete, sometimes branched, 2 to
3 ft. tall. Leaves linear-Ianceolate unequally bilobed, 2 in. long,
nearly '25 in. wide, sheaths I in. long, black pubescent. Flowers
solitary pendulous from sheaths '5 in. long. Sepals lanceolate
acute, yellowish with pale red network, mentum '5 in. long, narrow
blunt straight. Petals narrow linear recurved. Lip shorter, 3-lobed,
side-lobes narrow erect, blunt, midlobe orbicular, primrose yellow.
Column shori, base thicker. Hab. Terrestrial on dead leaves,
up to 4000 ft. altitude. Singapore, Bajau; Sungei Buluh. Malacca,
Mt. Ophir. Negri Sembilan, in old rubber ground Siliau (Williams).
Penang Hill at 3000 ft. altitude (Porter, etc.), Kedah Peak.

Epiphytic stems slender, I ft. long. Leaves linear acute, 4 in.
long, '12 in. wide, sheaths '25 in. long. Flowers'5 in. wide in pairs
on short lateral racemes. Sepals oblong blunt, laterals wider
greenish with red streaks, mentum '25 in. long, white. Petals
narrow linear acute. Lip fleshy spathulate, side lobes hardly
distinct, midlobe emarginate pale green, keels 2. Column narrow.
Hab. Mountain forests on trees, at 2000 to 4000 ft. altitude, Pahang,
Gunong Tahan. Perak, Thaiping Hills at 2000 ft. altitude. Kedah
Peak. Lankawi, Gunong Raya. Dtslnb. Tenasserim.

Epiphyte 2 to 3 ft. tall, flattened above. Leaves lanceolate
lorate unequally bilobed thin light green, 4 in. long, '3 to '5 in. wide,
sheaths '75 in. long, wrinkled. Raceme from centre of an internode
very short enclosed in oblong blunt bracts. Flowers 2, yellowish
unexpanded, '5 in. long, pedicel '5 in. long; ovary '12 in. long.
Upper sepal lanceolate blunt, laterals larger triangular-Ianceolate;
mentum as long, thick curved. Petals linear-Ianceolate acute.
Lip shorter narrow spathulate entire thin. Capsule ovoid, '5 in.
long. Hab. On trees. Singapore, Serangoon. Malacca, Bukit
Bruang (Griffith). Perak, Thaiping. Jalor, Biserat (Gwynne
Vaughan). Lankawi (Curtis). Distrib. Siam, Java, Sumatra,
Borneo.
