Slender tufted moss-like plant, branched, 3 to 12 in. long.<br />

Leaves linear acute, 'I2 in. long. Racemes very short. Flowers<br />

minute. Upper sepal ovate blunt, laterals larger oblique, mentum<br />

short round. Petals oblong blunt. Lip oblong-obovate blunt<br />

cordate with a horn on each side. Column arms ensiform truncate;<br />

anther ovate cordate at length bifid. Pollinia in pairs enclosed in<br />

Slender usually much branched. Stems 4 to 8 in. long. Leaves<br />

oblong-elliptic spreading, '5 in. long, mucronate. Racemes or<br />

panicles terminal, '25 in. long. Flowers minute white. Sepals<br />

ovate, laterals oblique, mentum bilobed blunt. Petals nearly as<br />

long and broader with a median violet line. Lip oblong.ovate<br />

blunt. Anther lanceolate acute, pollinia 6 elongate pear-shaped,<br />

caudicle I, disc ovate red. Rostellum triangular-Ianceolate<br />

minutely bifid. Hab. On trees, often forming mats. Common,<br />

More erect than the preceding, with broad-spreading leaves. Lindley<br />

has 2 speCIes under P. lenuts, viz. \Vallich's Penang plant, and a Himalayan<br />
