8. Auto-Zero the PPM by pressing [MENU] (1) [F3] [F2] [UNITS].<br />

If a dual channel 8502A is being used, follow the prompts given on the display. Select any Units<br />

key or CLEAR as necessary to Zero the desired channel(s).<br />

9. Turn on the RF power of the source under test.<br />

10. If measuring a pulsed signal, it is important that the Cursor be placed on the pulse. This can be<br />

done by using the PPM’s Autoscale feature which is activated in the Graph Mode by pressing<br />

[AUTOSCALE]. If this method is not possible, try using the Internal Trigger with the level set at<br />

-20 dBm. Then set the Cursor at 0.0000 ns and increase the Cursor Delay gradually until the<br />

CRS PWR is at its maximum.<br />
