well-written book cover<strong>in</strong>g a range of wider issues relevant to student motivation. It draws<br />

on up-to-date research, provid<strong>in</strong>g useful examples. It also provides good <strong>in</strong>sight <strong>in</strong>to how<br />

psychologists <strong>in</strong>vestigate learn<strong>in</strong>g to <strong>in</strong>clude their f<strong>in</strong>d<strong>in</strong>gs.<br />

Race, P (2006) The Lecturer’s Toolkit (3rd rev. edn), London: Routledge. An easy-to-digest <strong>and</strong><br />

practical book giv<strong>in</strong>g advice on learn<strong>in</strong>g styles, assessment, lectur<strong>in</strong>g, <strong>and</strong> large <strong>and</strong> small<br />

group teach<strong>in</strong>g to name just a few.<br />
