A. This Section includes the following water coolers and related components:<br />

1.03 DEFINITIONS:<br />

A. Accessible Water Cooler: Fixture that can be approached and used by people with disabilities.<br />

B. Drinking Fountain: Fixture with nozzle for delivering stream <strong>of</strong> water for drinking.<br />

C. Fitting: Device that controls flow <strong>of</strong> water into or out <strong>of</strong> fixture.<br />

D. Fixture: Drinking fountain or water cooler unless one is specifically indicated.<br />

E. Water Cooler: Electrically powered fixture for generating and delivering cooled drinking<br />

water.<br />

1.04 SUBMITTALS:<br />

A. General: Submit each item in this Article in accordance with SECTION 230500 - BASIC<br />

MECHANICAL MATERIALS AND METHODS.<br />

B. Product Data: For each fixture indicated. Include rated capacities, furnished specialties, and<br />

accessories.<br />

C. Shop Drawings: Diagram power, signal, and control wiring.<br />

D. Field quality-control test reports.<br />

E. Operation and Maintenance Data: For fixtures to include in emergency, operation, and<br />

maintenance manuals.<br />

1.05 QUALITY ASSURANCE:<br />

A. Electrical Components, Devices, and Accessories: Listed and labeled as defined in NFPA 70,<br />

Article 100, by a testing agency acceptable to authorities having jurisdiction, and marked for<br />

intended use.<br />

B. NSF Standard: Comply with NSF 61 for fixture materials that will be in contact with potable<br />

water.<br />
