SECTION 262726 - WIRING DEVICES: continued<br />

torquing requirements are not indicated, tighten connectors and terminals to comply with<br />

tightening torques specified in UL 486A. Use properly scaled torque indicating hand tool.<br />

I. Circuits connected to isolated ground receptacles and GFCI receptacles shall have a dedicated<br />

neutral conductor that is not shared with any other branch circuits.<br />

J. If dimmer yoke does not automatically ground the metal wall plate, bond the yoke to ground<br />

such that the metal wall plate is grounded when connected to yoke.<br />

K. Install wall-mounted vertical convenience receptacles with ground pin up and horizontal<br />

convenience receptacles with ground pin to the left.<br />

3.02 PROTECTION:<br />

A. Protect installed components from damage. Replace damaged items prior to final acceptance.<br />

Replace stained or field painted wall plates and devices.<br />

3.03 FIELD QUALITY CONTROL:<br />

A. Testing: Prior to energizing circuits, test wiring for electrical continuity and for short-circuits.<br />

Ensure proper polarity <strong>of</strong> connections is maintained. Subsequent to energizing, test wiring<br />

devices and demonstrate compliance with requirements.<br />

B. Test each receptacle with a receptacle tester to ensure proper polarity. Insure that the phase<br />

rotation is identical on all multiphase receptacles <strong>of</strong> each rating type.<br />

C. Test ground fault circuit interrupter operation with both local test button and remote ground<br />

fault simulation with receptacle tester.<br />
