1.04 SYSTEM DESCRIPTION:
A. The heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems shall be controlled
automatically from an internet based Direct Digital Control (DDC) temperature control system.
All set points shall be adjustable. Equipment identified as being interlocked shall be software
interlocked through the DDC system unless noted otherwise or indicated on the electrical
drawings. All installed DDC systems shall be compatible to Johnson Controls Metasys
System.
B. Control system consists of sensors, indicators, actuators, final control elements, interface
equipment, other apparatus, accessories, and software connected to distributed controllers
operating in multiuser, multitasking environment on token-passing network and programmed
to control mechanical systems. State standard for DDC systems is Johnson Controls Metasys
System.
