SECTION 230900 - HVAC INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROL: continued<br />

H. Field Test Reports: Indicate and interpret test results for compliance with performance<br />

requirements.<br />

I. Maintenance Data: For systems to include in maintenance manuals specified in SECTION<br />

230500. Include the following:<br />

1. Interconnection wiring diagrams with identified and numbered system components and<br />

devices.<br />

2. Keyboard illustrations and step-by-step procedures indexed for each operator function.<br />

3. Inspection period, cleaning methods, cleaning materials recommended, and calibration<br />

tolerances.<br />

4. Calibration records and list <strong>of</strong> set points.<br />

J. Qualification Data: For firms and persons specified in "Quality Assurance" Article.<br />

K. Project Record Documents: Record actual locations <strong>of</strong> control components, including control<br />

units, thermostats, and sensors. Revise Shop Drawings to reflect actual installation and<br />

operating sequences.<br />

1.06 QUALITY ASSURANCE:<br />

A. Installer Qualifications: An experienced installer who is a certified installer <strong>of</strong> the automatic<br />

control system manufacturer for both installation and maintenance <strong>of</strong> units required for this<br />

Project.<br />

B. Manufacturer Qualifications: A firm experienced in manufacturing automatic temperaturecontrol<br />

systems similar to those indicated for this Project and with a record <strong>of</strong> successful inservice<br />

performance.<br />

C. Electrical Components, Devices, and Accessories: Listed and labeled as defined in NFPA 70,<br />

Article 100, by a testing agency acceptable to authorities having jurisdiction, and marked for<br />

intended use.<br />

D. Comply with NFPA 90A, "Installation <strong>of</strong> Air Conditioning and Ventilation Systems."<br />

E. Comply with ASHRAE 135 for DDC system control components.<br />

F. Electronic Equipment Compliance:<br />

1. Contractor warrants that all equipment, devices, items, systems, s<strong>of</strong>tware, hardware, or<br />

firmware provided shall properly, appropriately, and consistently function and accurately<br />

process date and time date (including without limitation: calculating, comparing, and<br />

sequencing). This warranty supersedes anything in the <strong>Specifications</strong> or other Contract<br />

Documents which might be construed inconsistently. This warranty is applicable<br />

whether the equipment, device, item, system, s<strong>of</strong>tware, hardware, or firmware is<br />

specified with or without reference to a manufacturer's name, make, or model number.<br />

1.07 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING:<br />

A. Factory-Mounted Components: Where control devices specified in this Section are indicated<br />

to be factory mounted on equipment, arrange for shipping <strong>of</strong> control devices to unit<br />

manufacturer.<br />

1.08 COORDINATION:<br />

A. Coordinate location <strong>of</strong> thermostats, humidistats, and other exposed control sensors with plans<br />

and room details before installation.<br />

B. Coordinate equipment with SECTION 283100 - FIRE ALARM SYSTEMS to achieve<br />

compatibility with equipment that interfaces with that system.<br />

C. Coordinate supply <strong>of</strong> conditioned electrical circuits for control units and operator workstation.<br />

D. Coordinate equipment with DIVISION 26 to achieve compatibility with motor starters and<br />

annunciation devices.<br />
