DIVISION 26 - ELECTRICAL<br />

SECTION 260000 - BASIC ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS<br />

PART 1 - GENERAL<br />

1.01 SUMMARY:<br />

A. This Section specifies general administrative and procedural requirements for electrical<br />

installations. The following administrative and procedural requirements are included in this<br />

Section to expand the requirements specified in DIVISION 01:<br />

1. Submittals.<br />

2. Coordination drawings.<br />

3. Record documents.<br />

4. Maintenance manuals.<br />

5. Rough-ins.<br />

6. Electrical installations.<br />

7. Cutting and patching.<br />

B. Related Work Specified Elsewhere: The following Sections contain requirements that relate to<br />

this Section.<br />

1. Excavation for electrical installations within the building boundaries and from building to<br />

utility connections: DIVISION 31.<br />

2. Factory-installed motors, controllers, accessories, and connections: DIVISIONS 22<br />

and 23.<br />

3. DIVISION 27 - Communication.<br />

4. DIVISION 28 - Fire Alarm.<br />

5. DIVISION 48 - Photovoltaic.<br />

C. Site Conditions:<br />

1. Altitude = 16 feet above mean sea level.<br />

2. Maximum Outdoor Ambient Temperature = +91ºF.<br />

3. Minimum Outdoor Ambient Temperature = +57ºF.<br />

4. Maximum Outdoor Relative Humidity = 74%.<br />

5. Seismic Zone D.<br />

D. This Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following work components:<br />

1. Provide and install (including supports) the following Equipment as per the Drawings and<br />

<strong>Specifications</strong>:<br />

1.02 SUBMITTALS:<br />

A. Submit as specified in DIVISION 01.<br />

B. LEED ® Submittals:<br />

1. Product Data for EQ Credit 4.1: For site-applied interior adhesives, sealants and sealant<br />

primers, documentation indicating VOC content <strong>of</strong> product and VOC limit per LEED-NC<br />

requirements.<br />

a. Include in the LEED Documentation Notebook.<br />

C. Refer to each section in this Division for specific Submittal requirements.<br />

D. Provide "As-Built" schematic diagrams and wiring diagrams.<br />

1.03 COORDINATION DRAWINGS:<br />

A. Prepare coordination drawings in accordance with DIVISION 01, for equipment rooms, and<br />

other congested areas to a scale <strong>of</strong> 1/4 inches = 1 foot-0 inches or larger if required. Detail<br />

major elements, components, and systems <strong>of</strong> electrical equipment and materials in relationship<br />
