to the University Legal Counsel, and the Vice-President in charge <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Chicago Pr<strong>of</strong>essional Colleges, concur.<br />

I also concur and recommend that the Comptroller and the Secretary <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Board be authorized to execute the necessary documents to effect this settlement.<br />

On motion <strong>of</strong> Mrs. Holt, this recommendation was approved, and<br />

the Comptroller and the Secretary <strong>of</strong> the Board were authorized to<br />

execute the necessary documents.<br />

ILLINOIS YOUTH COMMISSION BOYS* CAMP AT DIXON SPRINGS<br />

(15) In the consideration by the Board <strong>of</strong> Trustees at its meeting on January 16,<br />

1958, <strong>of</strong> the agreement with the Illinois Youth Commission for the establishment<br />

and maintenance <strong>of</strong> a rehabilitation camp for boys at the Dixon Springs Experiment<br />

Station, a question was asked if there has been any evaluation <strong>of</strong> the success<br />

<strong>of</strong> this camp in rehabilitating boys sent to it by the Commission.<br />

There is submitted herewith, and a copy is being filed with the Secretary <strong>of</strong><br />

the Board, a letter from the Chairman <strong>of</strong> the Illinois Youth Commission, in reply<br />

to an inquiry made by the Vice-President and Comptroller, which expresses the<br />

belief <strong>of</strong> the Commission that the camp at Dixon Springs has been valuable in the<br />

program <strong>of</strong> rehabilitating boys.<br />

This report was received for record.<br />
