Summary:
In Africa and all over the world, traditional medicines made from plants are used to treat acute and
chronic diseases, in rural and urban areas. Interest in traditional therapy is not new, but it has
increased in recent years as a result of advances introduced particularly thanks to new strategies
including displines news such as the ethonopharmacologie the screenings and biological robotic
access the bibliographic databases, and the renewed interest in renewable resources and traditional
medicine.
In this work, our interest was focused on the isolation of secondary metabolites in the search for new
molecules which can be organic active.
Regarding the choice of species studied, our primary endpoint was endemism and the fact that
Algeria is one of the most strategic and most privileged in terms of flora and knowledge of traditional
medicine. So we selected two species:
- Achilléa ligustica, a species widely used in our mountainous regions on the wounds open wounds
and stomach pains and
- Ranunculus cortusifolius, an endemic species in the Canary Islands, Maderes and the Azores is used
in traditional medicine in these regions
After extraction of parts of these two species followed by separation and purification, this work led to
the acquisition in its purest form of 22 compounds which 19 were identified by a combination of
spectroscopic data including: RMN1H, RMN13C and sequences two-dimensional (COZY (1H-1H),
HSQC, and HMBC ROESY), RX diffraction and mass spectrometry HRIE + and HRFAB +, these
compounds are:
