Adam Zartman<br />
Adam ZARTMAN, 61, of R.R. 1, Kewanna, died Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in Parkview<br />
hospital, Plymouth.<br />
Born March 13, 1909, in <strong>Rochester</strong>, he was the son of Cora and Annie FRIEND<br />
ZARTMAN. His marriage was March 8, 1934, to Ann BURNETT, who survives. A farmer and a<br />
tool and die maker at the Kewanna Metal Specialties plant, he was a member of the Logansport<br />
Eagles lodge and the Kewanna Progressive Association.<br />
Surviving with the wife are two daughters, Shirley ZARTMAN, at home and Mrs.<br />
Richard (Jane) GREEN of Kewanna; two grandchildren; twin brothers, M.M. “Pete” ZARTMAN<br />
of Durand, Mich, and Michael ZARTMAN of R.R. 6, <strong>Rochester</strong>, and one sister, Mrs. Edwin<br />
HECKTOR of Elkhart.<br />
Final rites will be Sunday at 2 p.m in the Harrison Garden chapel, with the Rev. Ron<br />
PRILLIMAN officiating. Burial will be in the Zion cemetry, <strong>Rochester</strong>. Friends may call at the<br />
funeral home after 1 p.m. Saturday.<br />

Mary Izzard<br />
Mrs. Mary FOSTER IZZARD, 88, former <strong>Rochester</strong> resident who died June 24 in Tulsa,<br />
Okla., was the wife of the late Fred IZZARD, native of this city. <strong>The</strong>y were married here June 18,<br />
1905. Mr. Izzard and a daughter, Moneta [IZZARD], preceded in death.<br />
Ernest H. Bodkin<br />
Ernest H. [BODKIN], 74, R.R. 1, Roann, a lifetime resident of the Roann community,<br />
died at 7 p.m. Saturday in Woodlawn hospital, where he was a patient two days. He had been ill<br />
three years.<br />
Born Nov. 14, 1895 in Kosciusko county, he was the son of William and Amy<br />
CARTWRIGHT [BODKIN]. He was married Aug. 21, 1918 in Miami county to Lavon<br />
SANDERSON. A retired farmer, he retired from Peabody Seating company at North Manchester<br />
in 1960. He was a member of the Olive Branch Church of God.<br />
Surviving with the wife are three daughters, Mrs. Helen KISSINGER, North Manchester;<br />
Ms. Forrest (Lillian) KAMP and Mrs. Ray (Lucille) DOERING, both of Akron; five<br />
grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. A sister prececed in death.<br />
Last rites will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Olive Branch Church of God with the Revs.<br />
Gerald BRICKER and Ivan WOOD officiating. Burial will be in the [Tombaugh] cemetery.<br />
Friends may call at the Sheetz funeral home in Akron until noon Tuesday and at the church for one<br />
hour before services.
