Ethel L. Rans<br />

Mrs. Ethel L. RANS, 73, <strong>Fulton</strong>, died at 3:15 a.m. today at Parkview hospital in Fort<br />

Wayne. Final arrangements are pending at the Ditmire-Zimmerman funeral home in <strong>Fulton</strong>.<br />

Sidney D. Worsley<br />

Sidney D. WORSLEY, 75, R.R. 2, <strong>Rochester</strong>, died at 12:10 a.m. Wednesday at<br />

Osteopathic hospital, South Bend. He has been ill one year.<br />

Born Oct. 14, 1894 in Centerville, Utah, he was the son of William and Ann RIGBY<br />

WORSLEY. His first marriage was in 1926 to Frieda SCHMIDT, who died in 1961. In 1963, he<br />

married Mildred MOORE, who survives.<br />

A retired NIPSCO employee, Mr. Worsley had been a resident of <strong>Rochester</strong> six years,<br />

moving from Peru where he had lived for 35 years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus<br />

Christ, Latter Day Saints and was a World War I veteran.<br />

Surviving with the wife are one daughter, Mrs. James OTT, Danville; two sons, Donald<br />

[WORSLEY], Beaverton, Ore., and Dean [WORSLEY], Peru; two step-children, Robert E.<br />

MOORE, South Bend, and Mrs. Lawrence CULLIVAN, <strong>Rochester</strong>; two brothers, Frank<br />

[WORSLEY], Caysville, Utah, and Alma [WORSLEY], San Bernardino, Cal.; one sister, Mrs.<br />

James LaCOMB, Farmington, Utah; fifteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.<br />

Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ, Latter Day Saints with<br />

Branch President Norman COSGRAY, President Howard THOMPSON and President Philip<br />

LOW officiating. Burial will be at the Mount Hope cemetery, Peru. Friends may call at the<br />

Flowers-Leedy funeral home, Peru, after 10 a.m Friday and at the church one hour before services.<br />

Final rites for Mrs. Ethel Lavon RANS, 73, who died at 3:15 a.m. Thursday at Parkview<br />

hospital, Fort Wayne, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ditmire-Zimmerman funeral home in<br />

<strong>Fulton</strong>. <strong>The</strong> Rev. John REDDIX will officiate and burial will be in the <strong>Fulton</strong> cemetery. Friends<br />

may call at the funeral home.<br />

Mrs. Rans had been ill the past 10 years and was admitted to Parkview hospital Jan. 5.<br />

Born March 23, 1896, in <strong>Fulton</strong> county, she was the daughter of Daniel and Sarah<br />

SHOEMAKER FRY. Her marriage was Dec. 22, 1912, at Marshtown, to Charles W. RANS, who<br />

died Oct. 28, 1959.<br />

She spent most of her lifetime in the <strong>Fulton</strong> county area and was a member of the <strong>Fulton</strong><br />

Baptist Temple, KOTG club and the Liberty Neighbors club.<br />

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Merl (Maxine) KISTLER, <strong>Fulton</strong>; one son, Ralph<br />

[RANS], Denver; five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Two brothers and one sister<br />

preceded in death.
