Lyndes L. Latimer<br />

Lyndes L. LATIMER, 88, R.R. 5, Warsaw, died at 10:25 p.m. Monday in the Murphy<br />

Medical Center at Warsaw. He was admitted on Dec. 4.<br />

Born June 16, 1882, at Mentone, he was the son of Marion and Readie BYBE<br />

LATIMER. His marriage was to Nellie LYONS, who preceded him in death in 1942. A farmer,<br />

Mr. Latimer was a member of the Mentone Masonic lodge, the Scottish Rite, Fort Wayne, Burket<br />

volunteer fire department and active in the Kosciusko Conservation camp organization.<br />

Surviving are one son, Wilbur [LATIMER[, R.R. 5, Warsaw; a sister, Mrs. Roy (Minnie)<br />

SMITH, Warsaw; four grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.<br />

Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the King Memorial home in Mentone. <strong>The</strong> Rev.<br />

Don POYSER will officiate. Burial will be in the Mentone cemetery. Friends may call at the<br />

funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday where Masonic services will be conducted at 8 p.m.<br />

Viva B. Harvey<br />

Viva B. HARVEY, 74, Royal Center, died at 2:05 p.m. Monday in Memorial hospital at<br />

Logansport.<br />

Born July 29, 1896, in Medaryville, she was the daughter of Frank D. and Mary P.<br />

POSEY BAUGHMAN. Her marriage was June 16, 1920, to Hiram N. HARVEY. She was a<br />

member of the Trinity United Methodist church at Royal Center, the WSCS of the church, Order<br />

of Eastern Star, Royal Center, the Boone township Home Economics club.<br />

Surviving are her husband, Hiram [HARVEY]; three daughters, Mrs. Thora B.<br />

MESSERLY, Yorktown; Mrs. Mary HENRY, Royal Center; Mrs. Marjorie GOLTRY, also of<br />

Royal Center; one son, W. Clyde [HARVEY], of <strong>Rochester</strong>; two sisters, Miss Fern<br />

BAUGHMAN, Royal Center, and Mrs. Martha HOCH, Winamac; seven grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren.<br />

Three brothers preceded in death.<br />

Final rites will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Harrison funeral home in Royal Center.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Rev. George HOSTETTER will officiate. Burial will be in the Royal Center cemetery.<br />

Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Wednesday.<br />

Margaret L. Scheetz<br />

Mrs. Margaret L. SCHEETZ, 84, R.R. 2, Kewanna, died at 1:50 p.m. Monday in St.<br />

Joseph hospital in Logansport.<br />

Born Oct. 10, 1886, in Grass Creek, she was the daughter of Henry and Ellen McCANN<br />

O’BRIEN. Her marriage was Feb. 15, 1907, to John B. SCHEETZ. He died Nov. 18, 1960. She<br />

was a member of the St. Ann’s Catholic church in Kewanna and the Rosary Society of the church.<br />

Surviving are four sons, John Henry [SCHEETZ[, R.R. 2, Kewanna; Leo J., Joseph F.<br />

and Paul E. [SCHEETZ], all of R.R. 1, Lucerne; three daughters, Mrs. Mary COSTELLO,<br />

Chicago; Mrs. Monica WHITE, R.R. 3, Kewanna; Mrs. Eva COLIP, Buchanan, Mich.; twentyfour<br />

grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. One sister and one son preceded in death.<br />

Final rites will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the St. Ann’s Catholic church in Kewanna. <strong>The</strong><br />

Rev. Richard SMITH will officiate. Burial will be in St. Ann’s cemetery. Friends may call at the<br />

Harrison funeral home in Kewanna after 1 p.m. Wednesday where the Rosary will be recited at 7<br />

p.m.
