Lila L. Younce<br />

Lila L. YOUNCE, 45, R.R. 3, Delphi, died at 12:25 p.m. Saturday at the Marion General<br />

hospital. She had been ill for two years.<br />

Born Sept. 7, 1924, in Grant county, she was the daughter of Robert and Emma JONES<br />

SOWASH. Her marriage was Aug. 5, 1942, to Maurice YOUNCE, who survives. She was a<br />

member of the Church of Christ of Converse and the Pythian Sisters Temple of Converse.<br />

Surviving with the husband are two sons, Rex [YOUNCE], R.R. 4, <strong>Rochester</strong>, and Robert<br />

[YOUNCE], R.R. 1, Wabash; one daughter, Mrs. James CRAFT, R.R. 3, LaPorte; one stepdaughter,<br />

Mrs. James NEPTUNE, Burlington; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert SOWASH, R.R.<br />

1, Converse; one sister, Mrs. John McBEY, Enon, O.; one brother, Harry SOWASH, R.R. 1,<br />

Converse, and ten grandchildren.<br />

<strong>The</strong> body was removed from the Neptune and son funeral home in Burlington to the<br />

Laird and Son funeral home, Amboy, where funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. Marshall<br />

HAYDEN will officiate and burial will be in the Parklawn cemetery at Amboy. Friends may call<br />

at the funeral home.<br />

Marvin E. Rose<br />

Marvin E. ROSE, 48, Greenwood, Mass., died late Saturday. He was a former <strong>Rochester</strong><br />

resident.<br />

Born Feb. 15, 1921, in Findlay, Ill., he was the son of Daniel T. and Reta R. ROSE. His<br />

marriage was June 26, 1948, to Gertrude BURKE of Wakefield, Mass., who survives.<br />

Mr. Rose graduated in 1940 from <strong>Rochester</strong> high school and served as a warrant officer<br />

in the air Corps in the European <strong>The</strong>atre during World War II. He graduated from Babson<br />

Institute and was a purchasing agent for the Farm Bureau of Massachusetts for 23 years and had<br />

just recetly purchased an import-export business.<br />

Surviving with the wife are a son and daughter, Robert and Susan [ROSE], both at home;<br />

a sister, Mrs. Delbert D. (Virginia) STEVENS, LaPorte; a brother, D. Murphy ROSE, R.R. 5,<br />

<strong>Rochester</strong>; the mother, Mrs. Reta R. ROSE, R.R. 5, <strong>Rochester</strong>, and nieces and nephews. Two<br />

brothers, Robert and Daniel [ROSE], preceded in death.<br />

Final rites will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the Butler funeral home, Wakefield, Mass.<br />

Marshall E. Eaton<br />

Marshall E. EATON, 60, died Friday at 4:30 a.m. at Vero Beach, Fla., where he had lived<br />

the past seven years. He formerly resided at R.R. 2, Warsaw.<br />

Born July 20, 1909, at Mentone, he was the son of Noah and Mary SMITH EATON. He<br />

was married to Helene BASHORE, who survives.<br />

Also surviving with the wife is a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Pat) CAYWOOD, R.R. 5,<br />

<strong>Rochester</strong>; a son, Garwin [EATON], Burket; a brother, Charles EATON, Mentone, and seven<br />

grandchildren.<br />

Final rites will be at 2 p.m Wednesday at the King Memorial home in Mentone with Mrs.<br />

Evan BERGWALL and the Rev. Donald POYSER officiating. Burial will be in the Palestine<br />

cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
