Final rites will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Ditmire-Zimmerman funeral home for Mrs.<br />
Mildred Louise CULP, 70, R.R. 1, <strong>Rochester</strong>, who died Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. in Woodlawn<br />
hospital.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Rev. Laurence I. SMITH will officiate. Burial will be in the <strong>Rochester</strong> I.O.O.F.<br />
cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.<br />
Born June 14, 1900, in <strong>Rochester</strong>, she was the daughter of Albert H. and Sarah Elizabeth<br />
(FENIMORE) ROSS. Her marriage was Nov. 21, 1921, in <strong>Rochester</strong>, to Clarence E. CULP, who<br />
survives. A lifetime resident of the <strong>Rochester</strong> area, she was a member of the Grace United<br />
Methodist church here and the Bide-A-Wee club of <strong>Fulton</strong>.<br />
Surviving with her husband are one sister Mrs. Lee (Zora) [SHARPE] of <strong>Rochester</strong>; one<br />
brother, Don ROSS also of <strong>Rochester</strong>, and nieces and nephews, including Carl JENSEN of New<br />
Carlisle who was reared by the Culps. One sister, Florence CRAIG of <strong>Rochester</strong> preceded her in<br />
death.<br />

SP 4 Michael Karl Waymire<br />
Specialist Fourth Class Michael Karl WAYMIRE, 21, R.R. 2, Macy, was killed Sunday,<br />
[July 5, <strong>1970</strong>], in Phu Bai, Vietnam, when his night defensive position came under attack, it was<br />
learned today.<br />
He joined he Army in July of 1968 and in march of <strong>1970</strong> he went to Vietnam. At first he<br />
was in an infantry unit, but he was transferred into a supply division later.<br />
Born June 12, [1949], in Wabash, he was the son of Vernon and Martha KARL<br />
WAYMIRE. His marriage was Nov. 30, 1969, in Chili, to June Radene MURPHY, who survives.<br />
Before joining the Army, he had worked at Bahney Chevrolet in Akron as a mechanic.<br />
He was a lifetime resident of the Macy area and a memer of the Chili United Methodist church. A<br />
1967 graduate of North Miami high school, he had participated in MYF, 4-H, band and was in the<br />
upper third of his class scholastically.<br />
Surviving with the wife are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon WAYMIRE, R.R. 2, Macy;<br />
the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Vern WAYMIRE, Rich Valley, Ind.; three brothers, Kurt, Max<br />
and Kerry [WAYMIRE], all of R.R. 2, Macy.<br />
Full military rites are pending at the Country Chapel, McCain funeral home, at U.S. 31<br />
and Ind. 16<br />
