Karren K. Brown<br />

Mrs. Karren K. BROWN, 26, Kokomo, died Monday morning in the Indiana university<br />

Medical center at Indianapolis following a seven-year illness. She was a former <strong>Rochester</strong><br />

resident.<br />

Born Nov. 5, 1943, in Christopher, Ill., she was the daughter of Kenneth Eldridge and<br />

Faye GARNER. Her marriage was to Terry BROWN, who survives. She was a member of the<br />

Baptist church.<br />

Surviving with her husband are one son, Michael [BROWN], at home; her mother, of<br />

Fullerton, Cal., and brothers and sisters<br />

Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Fenn funeral home at Kokomo. Burial will<br />

be in Kokomo. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday.<br />

Esther A. Hooks<br />

Mrs. Esther A. HOOKS, 69, former <strong>Rochester</strong> resident, died Tuesday in Windfield, Mo.<br />

She was the mother of Mrs. Barbara ZARTMAN of <strong>Rochester</strong>. Her husband, Herbert HOOKS,<br />

died in 1959. Final rites will be Thursday in the Ricks funeral home in Windfield. Burial will be<br />

Saturday in Michigan City. Surviving with the daughter is a son, Herbert [HOOKS] Jr., Missouri,<br />

and nine grandchildren.<br />

Louise Miller<br />

Mrs. Louise MILLER, 46, R.R. 1, Roann, died at 9 a.m. Wednesday in Clinic hospital at<br />

Bluffton. She had been a patient four days and seriously ill 10 days.<br />

Born Oct.9, 1923, in Cass county, she was the daughter of Matthew and Mary SCHMIDT<br />

SPENCER. Her marriage was June 19, 1949, in Gilead to Frank R. MILLER, who survives. Mrs.<br />

Miller had lived in the Roann area 21 years, moving from Cass county. She was a member of the<br />

Noconza Baptist church.<br />

Also surviving are three daughtrs, Mrs. Corwin (Marian) KEAFFAVER, in England;<br />

Mrs. John (Jennie) GRZELAK, Bluffton, and Debbie [MILLER], at home; two sons, Frank<br />

[MILLER], R.R. 3, North Manchester, and Freddie [MILLER], at home; three grandchildren; her<br />

mother, Mrs. Mary SPENCER, of Logansport; one sister, Mrs. Marilyn MOON, Peru, and one<br />

brother, Thomas SPENCER, Indianapolis.<br />

Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Niconza Baptist church. <strong>The</strong> Rev. Frank<br />

HAYMAN will officiate. Burial will be in the Plainview cemetry at Macy. Friends may call at<br />

the Sheetz funeral home in Akron after 2 p.m. Friday until noon on Saturday and at the church one<br />

hour prior to services. Memorials other than flowers may be made to he memorial Baptist<br />

Chidren’s home in Kouts, Ind.
