Jesse NORMAN, 83, R.R. 2, Macy, died Sunday at 11 p.m. in the home of his daughter,<br />
Mrs. Claude WAGONER, R.R. 5, <strong>Rochester</strong>. He had been ill one year.<br />
Born March 4, 1887, near Macy, he was the son of Milo and Sarah POWELL NORMAN.<br />
His marriage was in 1910 to Judel ALSPACH, who died in 1960. A lifetime resident of the Macy<br />
area, he was a retired farmer and carpenter and a member of the Pleasant Hill United Methodist<br />
church and the Gleaners lodge.<br />
Surviving are six daughtrs, Mrs. Howard (Nila) MURPHY, R.R. 1, Mentone, Mrs.<br />
Wilbur (Wilma) GROSS, R.R. 1, Warsaw, Mrs. Claude (Martha) WAGONER, R.R. 5, <strong>Rochester</strong>,<br />
Mrs. Ruth BYER, R.R. 1, Etna Green, Mrs. Willis (Audria) FOUTS, Macy, Mrs. Robert (Irene)<br />
POWELL, Carpentersville, Ill.; seven sons, Ernest NORMAN, Macy, Glenn NORMAN, R.R. 2,<br />
Macy, Alva NORMAN, R.R. 2, Akron, David NORMAN, Macy, Kenneth NORMAN, R.R. 4,<br />
Lagro, Roy NORMAN, R.R. 4, Warsaw, and Oren NORMAN, R.R. 1, Akron; sixty-four<br />
grandchildren; forty-five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Perry NORMAN, North Manchester;<br />
three sisters, Mrs. John (Orra) GLASSFORD, R.R. 2, Macy, Mrs. Keith (Alta) LEEDY,<br />
Deedsville and Mrs. Deo (Elma) RABER, Macy. One brother, one sister and one son preceded<br />
him in death.<br />
Final rites will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Macy United Methodist church. <strong>The</strong> Revs.<br />
James O’DELL and Terry SHUMAKER will officiate. Burial will be in the Plainview cemetery,<br />
Macy. Friends may call at the Haupert funeral home, Akron, after 2 p.m. Tuesday and until noon<br />
Wednesday.<br />

Final rites will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Miller funeral home, South Whitley, for Mrs.<br />
Mae B. BOYER, 91, South Whitley, who died Saturday at 1:05 a.m. in Whitley county hospital,<br />
Columbia City.<br />
Burial will be in the South Whitley cemetery.<br />
Born Oct. 21, 1878, in Benton county, she was the daughter of William and Emma<br />
HUFFMAN Van DERIPE. Her marriage was Feb. 16, 1899, to Albert J. BOYER, who died in<br />
1948. She had lived in South Whitley for 60 years and was a member of the Centerview<br />
Community church, South Whitley.<br />
Surviving are two daughters, Edith BOYER, South Whitley and Mrs. Clarence (Gladys)<br />
SHULTZ, <strong>Rochester</strong>; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and one brother, Warner<br />
Van DERIPE, South Whitley. Two brothers preceded in death.<br />
