Robert J. Discher<br />

Robert J. DISCHER, 66, Culver, died Tuesday at 1 a.m. in Robert Long hospital,<br />

Indianapolis.<br />

Born Jan. 7, 1904, in Logansport, he was the son of John and Dessie GILLIS DISCHER.<br />

His marriage was May 24, 1930, to Tamar SMITH, who survives. Owner and operator of R. J.<br />

Discher Furniture store in Logansport, he was a member of the Fort Wayne Scottish Rite and the<br />

Elks lodge, the Orient lodge number 272, F & AM lodge, Rotary, Chamber of Commerce and the<br />

Calvary Presbyterian church, all of Logansport.<br />

Surviving with the wife are one brother, Eddie DISCHER, Logansport; one sister, Mrs.<br />

Florence MASTERS, Logansport, and nieces and nephwes.<br />

Final rites will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the Kroeger funeral home, Logansport, with the<br />

Rev. Ronald FELTY officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Hope cemetery, Logansport. Friends<br />

may call at the funeral home. <strong>The</strong> Elks lodge of Logansport will conduct memorial services<br />

Wednesday in the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. and the F & AM lodge will conduct memorial<br />

services Thursday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.<br />

Thursday, May 14, <strong>1970</strong><br />

John W. Clark<br />

John Willis CLARK, 54, Kokomo, died Wednesday at 6:45 a.m. in Mercy hospital,<br />

Elwood. He had been ill one week.<br />

Born Sept. 3, 1915, in Denver, he was the son of Thomas and Marie CLARK. His<br />

marriage was Feb. 15, 1941, in Elwood, to Phyllis GETZ, who survives.<br />

Also surviving are one son, John Thomas CLARK, Cincinnati, O.; one daughter, Teresa<br />

CLARK, at home; one grandson, and one brother, Lawrence CLARK, Marion.<br />

Final rites will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Copher and Fesler funeral home, Elwood.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Rev. Richard PUETZ will officiate. Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial cemetery, Elwood.<br />

Friends may call at the funeral home.<br />

Friday, May 15, <strong>1970</strong><br />

Edna D. Buchanan<br />

Mrs. Edna D. BUCHANAN, 67, Winamac, died Thursday at 11:20 a.m. in Pulaski<br />

Memorial hospital, Winamac.<br />

Born May 2, 1903, in <strong>Fulton</strong>, she was the daughter of C. E. and Goldie ZARTMAN<br />

WHYBREW. Her marriage was to Reuben C. BUCHANAN, who died April 4, 1956. She was a<br />

member of the First Christian church, Winamac.<br />

Surviving are one son, Paul BUCHANAN, Winamac; one brother, Roy WHYBREW,<br />

Kewanna, and three grandchildren.<br />

Final rites will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Harrison funeral home, Kewanna, with the Rev.<br />

Thomas TERRY officiating. Burial will be in the <strong>Fulton</strong> cemetery, <strong>Fulton</strong>. Friends may call at<br />

the funeral home after 1 p.m. Saturday.
