Robert D. Rogan<br />
Robert D. ROGAN, 42, Argos, was killed Thursday night when a car toppled off its<br />
blocks as the victim installed a transmission at his home. Marshall <strong>County</strong> Coroner Dr. John E.<br />
SCHREINER, Bremen, said Rogan suffocated as the vehicle fell on him.<br />
Rogan’s mother, Mrs. Lena ROGAN, Argos, found the body pinned under the car.<br />
A lifetime resident of the Plymouth and Argos communities, Rogan was born Dec. 10,<br />
1927, in Plymouth, to Cornelius and Lena HITE ROGAN.<br />
Surviving with the mother are one sister, Mrs. Roger (Phyllis) JACOX, South Bend; three<br />
brothers, Patrick ROGAN, Osceola, Donald ROGAN, Plymouth and Lowell ROGAN, Kenton, O.;<br />
the maternal grandmother, Mrs. David HITE, Plymouth, nieces and nephews. His father preceded<br />
him in death.<br />
Final rites will be Saturday at 4 p.m. in the Grossman funeral home, Argos, with the Rev.<br />
Jacob WAECHTER officiating. Burial will be in the New Oak Hill cemetery, Plymouth. Friends<br />
may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.<br />
Charles A. Miller<br />
Charles A. MILLER, 83, R.R. 3, Kewanna, died Thursday at 8:50 a.m. in Pulaski<br />
Memorial hospital following a two-week illness.<br />
Born Sept. 3, 1886, in Indiana, he was the son of Jacob E. and Mary T. ROGERS<br />
MILLER. His marriage was Jan. 26, 1924, to Alta STARR, who survives. A WW I veteran, he<br />
was a member of the Kewanna Baptist church and the Kewanna American Legion post.<br />
Surviving with the wife are one daughter, Miss <strong>The</strong>resa MILLER, Beech Grove; one son,<br />
Dr. Wayne MILLER, Huntington; three grandchildren, and one brother, Harley L. MILLER,<br />
South Bend. Two brothers and one sister preceded in death.<br />
Final rites will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Kewanna Baptist church. <strong>The</strong> Rev. Otis<br />
STONE will officiate. Burial will be in the Kewanna I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call at the<br />
Harrison funeral home, Kewanna, after 1 p.m. Saturday and at the church one hour before the<br />
services. <strong>The</strong> Kewanna American Legion will conduct full military graveside rites.<br />

Ralph Thrush<br />
Ralph THRUSH, 59, Milwaukee, Wis., died unexpectedly Sunday in Milwaukee.<br />
Born Nov. 2, 1910, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Oren C. and Meta THRUSH. His<br />
marriage was to Emma ADAMSON, who survives. He had lived in Milwaukee for 29 years<br />
where he was a maintenance man for Nordbry Manufacturing company.<br />
Surviving with the wife are one sister, Miss Esther THRUSH, <strong>Rochester</strong>, and two<br />
brothers, Maurice THRUSH, Kokomo, and Richard THRUSH, Buffalo, N.Y.<br />
Final rites will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home, with<br />
the Rev. Francis ROGERS officiating. Burial will be in the <strong>Rochester</strong> I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends<br />
may call at the funeral home after 11 a.m. Wednesday.
