of St. Louis, Mo. One daughter, a son, a grandson and granddaughter prceded in death.<br />

Final rites will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Foster & Good funeral home. <strong>The</strong> Rev.<br />

David WEINZ will officiate. Burial will be in the Winamac cemetery. Friends may call at the<br />

funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.<br />

Doyil Davis<br />

Doyil DAVIS, 83, R.R. 1, <strong>Rochester</strong>, died at 9:10 a.m. today in Woodlawn hospital<br />

where he had been a patient one day. He had been in failing health several years.<br />

Born May 4, 1887, in Independence, he had resided in this area 28 years, moving from<br />

Otterbein in 1910. His marriage was in 1920 to Effie CHAFFEE. She preceded him in death in<br />

1920. Mr. Davis was a retired farmer and a member of the First Presbyterian church in Boswell.<br />

Surviving are one son, Elmer DAVIS, R.R. 1, Macy, and numerous nieces.<br />

Final rites will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Foster & Good funeral home. <strong>The</strong> Rev.<br />

Allen JUMP will officiate. Burial will be in the Boswell cemetery at Boswell where graveside<br />

rites will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday. Friends may call at the Foster & Good funeral home<br />

here after 2 p.m. Friday.<br />

Grace Bennett<br />

Final rites are tentatively set for Saturday in South Bend for Mrs. Steve (Grace)<br />

BENNETT, 67, South Bend, who died early today in a South Bend hospital following a three<br />

month’s illness.<br />

Born June 28, 1903, she was the daughter of Mel and Mary Belle GREPON COPLEN.<br />

Her first marriage was to John BYBEE who preceded in death. Her second marriage was Jan. 3,<br />

1969 to Steve BENNETT who survives.<br />

Also surviving are two sons; three daughters; several grandchildren; three brothers, Ray<br />

and Oscar COPLEN, both of <strong>Rochester</strong>, and George COPLEN, of Leo, and one sister, Mrs. Fred<br />

(May) DICKERHOFF, of Akron.<br />

Bertha Pusey<br />

Mrs. Bertha PUSEY, 84, Geneva, Ind., died at noon Thursday in a Portland, Ind.,<br />

hospital. She was the mother of Mrs. Melvin HEDRICK of <strong>Rochester</strong>. Also surviving are a son<br />

and four other daughters. Friends may call at the Hardy and Hardy funeral home in Geneva,<br />

where final rites will be at 2 p.m. Saturday.
