Fred E. Walton<br />
Fred Edgar WALTON, 69, Kokomo, died Saturday at 1:40 a.m. in Woodlawn hospital.<br />
He had been ill since April 14, when he suffered a stroke.<br />
Born Sept. 8, 1900, in Kokomo, he was the son of Gabriel J. and Luella WILLS<br />
WALTON. His marriage was Aug. 30, 1924, to Margaret E. WILSON, who survives. A retired<br />
salesman for Standard Brands incorporated (a whilesale food firm), he was a member of the<br />
Howard lodge F and AM, the Scottish Rite of Indianapolis, the Eastern Star, the Dorcas Shrine<br />
and the White Shrine of Jerusalem.<br />
Surviving with the wife are two sons, Robert WALTON, Danville, Cal., and Dr. F.<br />
Richard WALTON, <strong>Rochester</strong>; one daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Sharon) SHOWALTER, Anderson;<br />
one sister, Mrs. Clara BUNNELL, Kokomo; ten grandchildren, and five nieces and nephews.<br />
Final rites will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Ellers chapel, Kokomo, with Dr. John M.<br />
NEWSOM officiating. Burial will be in the Crown Point cemetery, Kokomo. Friends may call at<br />
the funeral home Monday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Masonic services<br />
followed by Eastern Star services will be Monday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.<br />
Percy G. Cook<br />
Percy G. COOK, 79, Akron, died Sunday at 4 a.m. in Woodlawn hospital.<br />
Born Aug. 24, 1890, in Kosciusko county, he was the son of Alexander and Ina<br />
HURTUNG COOK. A retired carpenter and farmer, he was a lifetime resident of the Akron<br />
community.<br />
Surviving are one son, Guy COOK, Cleveland, O.; three grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren,<br />
and two brothers, Dale COOK, mentone, and Wayne COOK, Akron.<br />
Final rites will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Haupert funeral home, Akron. <strong>The</strong> Rev.<br />
Dan BENGSTON will officiate. Burial will be in the Nichols cemetery, Akron. Friends may call<br />
at the funeral home.<br />

Eula Berrier<br />
Among the organizations of which Mrs. Dee (Eula) BERRIER, 78, R.R. 2, <strong>Rochester</strong>,<br />
was a member, was the Bethlehem Baptist church, a fact not noted in the information given to <strong>The</strong><br />
<strong>Sentinel</strong> Monday. Mrs. Berrier was injurd fatally in a two-car crash Saturday morning.<br />
Earl D. Bucher<br />
Earl D. BUCHER, 52, R.R. 2, North Manchester, died Monday at 1:30 p.m. in Wabash<br />
county hospital, following a heart attack. He had been ill three days.<br />
Born March 23, 1918, in <strong>Fulton</strong> county, he was the son of Harmon and Ethel LANDIS<br />
BUCHER. His marriage was Jan. 31, 1948, in Athens, to Evelyn HOPKINS, who survives. A<br />
lifetime resident of the Akron and Silver Lake communities, he was a foreman for the General<br />
Tire and Rubber company, Wabash.<br />
Surviving with the wife are two daughters, Mrs. C. W. (Myra) WADE, Tacoma, Wash.,<br />
and Miss Linda Kay BUCHER, at home three sons, James BUCHER, R.R. 1, Akron; Elbie<br />
BUCHER, Sarasota, Fla., and Thomas BUCHER, with the U.S. Air Force in Thailand; three<br />
brothers, Edward BUCHER, Akron, Robert BUCHER, Indianapolis, and Gerald BUCHER,<br />
Hunterstown; eight grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Ethel BUCHER, R.R. 1, Silver Lake, and two<br />
sisters, Mrs. Worby (Mildred) CLINKER, R.R. 1, Silver Lake, and Mrs. Richard (Donna)
