Carl W. Lott<br />
Carl Wesley LOTT, 73, R.R. 1, Macy, died at 4:30 a.m. Thursday in Woodlawn hospital.<br />
Born Aug. 15, 1897, in Chillicothe, O., he was the son of Henry and Elizabeth LOTT.<br />
His marriage was in 1918 to Nellie FEDERSPILL, who survives. He had lived at Nyona Lake<br />
since 1962, moving from Kokomo. He was a retired employee of the Continental Steel<br />
corporation in Kokomo and a member of the First Pentecostal church in Peru. He was a member<br />
of the United Steel Workers Local 1054.<br />
Surviving with his wife, four sons, Carl Jr., John, Joseph and David [LOTT], all of<br />
Kokomp; two daughters, Mrs. Gene (Imogene) REED, Logansport, and Mrs. Jim (Madelyn)<br />
STEVENS, of Kokomo; fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.<br />
Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Ellers funeral home in Kokomo. <strong>The</strong> Rev.<br />
Mark RUDOLPH will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery. Friends may call at<br />
the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday.<br />
Vern Jennings<br />
Vern JENNINGS, 77, former <strong>Rochester</strong> resident, died unexpectedly at 4 a.m. today of a<br />
heart attack at Seal Beach, Cal.<br />
Owner of the Ford automobile agency here for 19 years, Mr. Jennings retired and moved<br />
to Seal Beach eight years ago. An ardent golfer, he had won many tournaments in that area and at<br />
his death was employed part-time at the Seal Beach golf club.<br />
Mr. Jennings and his wife, Edith [JENNINGS], who survives, resided at 13301 El<br />
Dorado drive, Apartment 204-C, Seal Beach, Cal. 90740.<br />
Born Oct. 13, 1893, in Haxton, Col., he was the son of Miller and Mamie JENNINGS.<br />
Surviving, besides the wife, are a son, in California, and a brother, Earl [JENNINGS], Monticello.<br />
Two brothers preceded in death.<br />
Last rites will be at Seal Beach and cremation will follow. Burial will be in Idaho Falls,<br />
Ida.<br />
Lena B. Jefferies<br />
Mrs. Lena B. JEFFERIES, 86, Peabody Memorial home, North Manchester, died this<br />
morning at 6 a.m. in the Peabody Memorial home health center, following an illness of one week.<br />
She was born in <strong>Fulton</strong> county Oct. 17, 1884 and lived in the <strong>Rochester</strong> area all of her life<br />
until going to the Peabody home 3 1/2 years ago. She was born to John W. and Julia A.<br />
CLIFTON CLIFTON, and was married March 4, 1905 to Ancil I. JEFFERIES, who died June 5,<br />
1962. She was a member of the Macy Pleasant Hill Methodist church.<br />
She is survived by a son, Donald A. JEFFERIES, Decatur, Ind.; a daughter, Mrs. Maurine<br />
KRIEG, Mncie; five grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Ruth<br />
DAVIS, Akron, and Mrs. Irene BEERY, R.R. 4, Rochestr.<br />
Services will be at the Peabody Memorial chapel, North Manchester, at 11 a.m. Monday,<br />
with superintendent WilVISSER and Rev. Charles HENDERSON presiding. Burial will be in the<br />
Sycamore cemetery in <strong>Fulton</strong> county. Friends may call at the Bender funeral home at North<br />
Manchester after 7 p.m.
