Violette Bietzel
Mrs. Violette BIETZEL, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gilman T. CARLSON, R.R. 6,
Rochester, died Sunday in Phoenix, Ariz. She had been ill one year.
Surviving are her husband, Robert BIETZEL; one son, Kenneth BIETZEL, and one
daughter, Marjorie BIETZEL.
Final rites will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Oak Hill cemetery chapel, Chicago. Burial
will be in the Oak Hill cemetry.

Dora Evans
Mrs. Dora EVANS, 88, 816 Monroe street, died Tuesday at 8:10 a.m. in the home of her
son, Carl E. EVANS, Danville, Ill.
Born Dec. 7, 1881, in Kewanna, she was the daughter of Fred and Caroline WENTZEL
MEISER. Her marriage was May 31, 1904, in Kewanna, to Elmer O. EVANS, who died March
17, 1969. Moving from Argos where she had lived for 30 years, she had been a Rochester resident
for the past four years. She had been living with her son before her death.
Surviving are one son, Carl E. EVANS, Danville, Ill.; one grandson, Charles E. EVANS,
Havre, Mont., and one brother, Joseph MEISER, R.R. 5, Rochester. One son, Hugh [EVANS],
along with one sister and two brothers preceded her in death.
Final rites will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the Foster & Good funeral home. The Rev.
Laurence I. SMITH will officiate. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery, Kewanna. Friends may
call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.
Carrie McKinney
Mrs. Carrie McKINNEY, 921 Jefferson, died at 10:45 a.m. today in Woodlawn hospital.
Final arrangements are pending at the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home.

Edgar Baker
Edgar BAKER, Brother of Lyman BAKER of Rochester, was found dead at his summer
home in Marinette,Wis., this morning. He was a former resident of Rochester.
