Violette Bietzel<br />

Mrs. Violette BIETZEL, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gilman T. CARLSON, R.R. 6,<br />

<strong>Rochester</strong>, died Sunday in Phoenix, Ariz. She had been ill one year.<br />

Surviving are her husband, Robert BIETZEL; one son, Kenneth BIETZEL, and one<br />

daughter, Marjorie BIETZEL.<br />

Final rites will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in the Oak Hill cemetery chapel, Chicago. Burial<br />

will be in the Oak Hill cemetry.<br />

Dora Evans<br />

Mrs. Dora EVANS, 88, 816 Monroe street, died Tuesday at 8:10 a.m. in the home of her<br />

son, Carl E. EVANS, Danville, Ill.<br />

Born Dec. 7, 1881, in Kewanna, she was the daughter of Fred and Caroline WENTZEL<br />

MEISER. Her marriage was May 31, 1904, in Kewanna, to Elmer O. EVANS, who died March<br />

17, 1969. Moving from Argos where she had lived for 30 years, she had been a <strong>Rochester</strong> resident<br />

for the past four years. She had been living with her son before her death.<br />

Surviving are one son, Carl E. EVANS, Danville, Ill.; one grandson, Charles E. EVANS,<br />

Havre, Mont., and one brother, Joseph MEISER, R.R. 5, <strong>Rochester</strong>. One son, Hugh [EVANS],<br />

along with one sister and two brothers preceded her in death.<br />

Final rites will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the Foster & Good funeral home. <strong>The</strong> Rev.<br />

Laurence I. SMITH will officiate. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery, Kewanna. Friends may<br />

call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.<br />

Carrie McKinney<br />

Mrs. Carrie McKINNEY, 921 Jefferson, died at 10:45 a.m. today in Woodlawn hospital.<br />

Final arrangements are pending at the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home.<br />

Edgar Baker<br />

Edgar BAKER, Brother of Lyman BAKER of <strong>Rochester</strong>, was found dead at his summer<br />

home in Marinette,Wis., this morning. He was a former resident of <strong>Rochester</strong>.
