Lance Corp. Dale A. Pennington<br />

Final rites for Lance Corp. Dale Allen PENNINGTON, 20, a former Culver resident,<br />

have been set for 2 p.m. Saturday, in the Grossman funeral home in Argos, with the Rev. Lloyd<br />

HOWARD, officiating. Burial will be in the Richland Center I.O.O.F. cemetery, where the U.S.<br />

Marine Corps will conduct military rites. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday.<br />

Corp. Pennington was killed while being taken out of enemy territory by helicopter in<br />

Vietnam. He had entered the service July 8, 1969 in Chicago and went overseas in February of<br />

<strong>1970</strong>. He was born Feb. 9, 1950 to Clarence and Mary ANDREWS PENNINGTON who survive<br />

in Culver, and had lived most of his life in the Culver and Argos areas. He was married Oct. 12,<br />

1968 to Donna GROVER, who survives.<br />

He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas ANDREWS,<br />

Argos; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Hobart (Rebecca) KELLY, Closplint, Ky.; five brothers,<br />

Steven, Charles, David, Blaine and Bradley [PENNINGTON], all at home in Culver.<br />

Otho L. Mason<br />

Otho L. MASON, 59, Muncie, former Kewanna area farmer, died Thursday at Ball<br />

hospital in Muncie following a three-year illness. He moved to Muncie in 1959.<br />

Surviving re the wife, Mildred [MASON]; a son, Larry [MASON], of Muncie; a<br />

daughter, Mrs. Richard (Peggy) MacDONALD, Duluth, Minn.; four grandchildren; a brother,<br />

Kenneth [MASON], of Oklahoma City, Okla., and three sisters, Mrs. Adeline ALBER, South<br />

Bend; Mrs. Mary KOWNOVER, Granger, and Mrs. Violet McLEAN, Cudahay, Wis.<br />

Last rites will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Parson Mortuary, 801 West Adams street,<br />

Muncie, with the Rev. Lynden COLLINGS officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memory<br />

cemetery north of Muncie. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and from<br />

2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday.<br />

Marion L. Buck<br />

Marion L. BUCK, 55, R.R. 3, <strong>Rochester</strong>, died at 9:20 p.m. Friday at his home. Although<br />

he had been ill for 10 months, his death was unexpected.<br />

An employee of Sealed Power corporation here since 1948, Mr. Buck moved to<br />

<strong>Rochester</strong> from Anderson 22 years ago. He was born March 3, 1915 in Perrysburg to Lemuel and<br />

Maxine GAMBLE BUCK. He was married Aug. 10, 1941 in Peru to Esther Mae BARKMAN,<br />

who survives. He was a member of he United Methodist church.<br />

Surviving with the wife are a sister, Mrs. Earl (Helen) YOUNG, R.R. 3, <strong>Rochester</strong>; a<br />

brother, Robert [BUCK], of Gas City, and nieces and nephews. A sister and a brother preceded in<br />

death.<br />

Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Foster & Good funeral home with the Rev.<br />

Ron HIBNER officiating. Burial will be in the Richland Center I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may<br />

call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.
