Herman D. Jones<br />
Herman D. JONES, 60, Ocala, Fla., formerly of <strong>Rochester</strong>, died Tuesday at 1 a.m. in his<br />
home. He had been ill ten years.<br />
Born Sept. 8, 1909, near Talma, he was the son of Charles T. and Anna Viola DEAMER<br />
JONES. His marriage was April 9, 1939, in <strong>Rochester</strong>, to Mary Jane ZARTMAN, who survives.<br />
A retired salesman, he was a veteran of WW 2 and a member of the American Legion, <strong>Rochester</strong>.<br />
Surviving with the wife are one brother, Charles T. JONES, <strong>Rochester</strong>; and two sisters,<br />
Mrs. Marjorie BRYANT, Orlando, Fla., and Mrs. Eva KILLION, North Canton, O. Two brothers<br />
and one sister preceded in death.<br />
Final rites will be Friday at 3 p.m. in Zimmerman Brothers funeral home, <strong>Rochester</strong>. <strong>The</strong><br />
Rev. Josef PALAT will officiate. Burial will be in the <strong>Rochester</strong> I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may<br />
call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Thursday.<br />
Russell C. Hoffman<br />
Russell C. HOFFMAN, 67, Coldwater, Mich., a former Gilead resident, died Tuesday at<br />
3:30 p.m. in St. Joseph hospital, Ann Arbor, Mich.<br />
Born Sept. 22, 1902, in Roann, he was the son of Ezra and Lydia DEWALD HOFFMAN.<br />
His marriage was to Furl BOWLBY who survives. A general contractor, he had lived in the<br />
Coldwater community for 25 years, moving from Gilead.<br />
Surviving with the wife are one daughter, Mrs. George (Elva) FOOR, Hartford City; one<br />
step-daughter, Mrs. J. K. (Ethel) FORBES, Coldwater; two grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren,<br />
and two brothers, Ralph HOFFMAN, Roann, and Frank HOFFMAN, Laketon.<br />
Final rites will be Friday at 10 a.m. in the Haupert funeral home at Akron. <strong>The</strong> Rev.<br />
George RESER will officiate. Burial will be in the Silver Creek cemetery. Friends may call at the<br />
funeral home after 7 p.m. Thursday.<br />

Ama G. Breseke<br />
Mrs. Ama G. BRESEKE, 68, <strong>Rochester</strong>, died Thursday at 9 p.m. in Memorial hospital,<br />
South Bend.<br />
Born Oct. 8, 1901, in Hanna, she was the daughter of James and Ida COLLINS<br />
ROSENBAUM. Her marriage was June 25, 1921, in LaPorte, to John H. BRESEKE, who<br />
survives. She had lived in <strong>Rochester</strong> since 1945, and she was a member of the Church of God,<br />
<strong>Rochester</strong>.<br />
Surviving with the husband are three daughters, Mrs. Cecil (June) GOODWIN, Union<br />
Mills; Mrs. Wayne (Lorna) CRAVEN, Newark, Del., and Miss Nancy BRESEKE, Chicago, Ill.;<br />
two sons, James H. BRESEKE, Scottsdale, Ariz. and Donald K. BRESEKA, Ann Arbor, Mich.;<br />
nine grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Alfred (Oma) SIMPSON, Grand Rapids, Mich.<br />
Final rites will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in Foster & Good funeral home. <strong>The</strong> Rev. C. J.<br />
MOWRER will officiate. Burial will be in the Hanna cemetery, Hanna. Friends may call at the<br />
funeral home after 3 p.m. Saturday.
