Igerna F. Rohrer<br />

Mrs. Igerna F. ROHRER, 66, lifetime resident of the Argos community, died at 12:02<br />

a.m. Sunday in Marshall <strong>County</strong> Parkview hospital at Plymouth. She had suffered a heart seizure<br />

seven hours before her death. Mrs. Rohrer had been in ill health for several years and a patient at<br />

the TLC nursing home in Argos.<br />

She was born Aug. 20, 1903 near Argos to Ira and Lucy CLIFTON WADDLE. She was<br />

married March 1, 1933 to Kenneth ROHRER in Argos. He died Oct. 12, 1960.<br />

Surviving are a son, Vernon ROHRER, Mendon, Mich.; three grandsons, and cousins, an<br />

aunt and an uncle.<br />

Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Grossman funeral home at Argos with the<br />

Rev. Paul C. LANDIS officiating. Burial will be in the Argos Maple Grove cemetery. Friends<br />

may call at the funeral home.<br />

Medford Kyle Newman, Sr.<br />

<strong>The</strong> place for funeral services for Medford Kyle NEWMAN, Sr., 83, formerly of Mexico,<br />

has been changed from the Foster & Good funeral home to the First Brethren church at Mexico.<br />

<strong>The</strong> rites will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, with burial in the Greenlawn cemetery at Mexico. Friends<br />

may call at the funeral home until 11:30 a.m. Wednesday and at the church for one hour before<br />

services.<br />

Charles Belt<br />

Charles BELT, 71, of New Carlisle, formerly of <strong>Rochester</strong>, died Wednesday in South<br />

Bend. Death resulted from a car accident which occurred at about 1 p.m. on Lincoln Way West.<br />

Born March 7, 1899, Mr. Belt’s marriage was to Bertha RAKOWSKI. She died in 1968.<br />

He was a member of the New Carlisle police department.<br />

Surviving are one son, Charles BELT, Jr. of Parsippany, New Jersey; two sisters, Mrs.<br />

Louise YOUNG of New Carlisle and Mrs. Mildred FIELDS of <strong>Rochester</strong>, and one niece, Mrs.<br />

Bertha CASPERS of New Carlisle.<br />

Final rites are pending.<br />

Charles Belt<br />

Final rites were conducted today at 2 p.m. in the H. C. Amen and Son funeral home, New<br />

Carlisle, for Charles BELT, 71, of R.R. 2, New Carlisle, who died Monday at 5:50 a.m. in South<br />

Bend Memorial hospital.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Rev. James RUSSELL officiated. Burial was in the New Carlisle cemetery.<br />

Graveside military rites were conducted by the American Legion Post 297.<br />

Born March 7, 1899, in <strong>Rochester</strong>, he had moved to New Carlisle 20 years ago from<br />

LaPorte. His marriage was June 30, 1926, in Valparaiso, to Bertha Lee RAKOWSKI, who died in<br />

1968. He had served as a radio operator for the New Carlisle Police department.<br />

Surviving are one son, Charles W. BELT of Parsippany, N.J.; and two sisters, Mrs.<br />

Louise YOUNG of New Carlisle, and Mrs. Mildred FIELDS of <strong>Rochester</strong>.
