Carrie Shively<br />
Miss Carrie SHIVELY, 53, Osceola, died at 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the Osteopathic<br />
hospital in South Bend. She had been ill one year.<br />
Born Feb. 17, 1917, in Dowagiac, Mich., she was the daughter of Martin and Inez<br />
BEEHLER SHIVELY.<br />
Surviving are one brother, Ivan SHIVELY, Dowagiac, and one sister, Mrs. Claude<br />
BURKS, of Osceola.<br />
Final rites will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home. <strong>The</strong><br />
Rev. C. J. MOWRER will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Hope cemetery in Athens.<br />
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today.<br />
Nellie M. Stullen<br />
Mrs. Nellie M. STULLEN, 89, who formerly resided with her daughter, Miss Garnett<br />
STULLEN, 229 West Seventh street, died at 5:10 p.m. Sunday in the <strong>Rochester</strong> nursing home.<br />
She had been a patient 6 1/2 years and seriously ill two weeks.<br />
Born April 19, 1891, in Carey, O., she was the daughter of Abraham and Margaret<br />
BRYTON EBERSOLE. Her marriage was in 1902, at Findlay, O., to Thomas STULLEN. He<br />
preceded in death in 1950. Mrs. Stullen had lived here 15 years, moving from Portland, Ind. She<br />
was a member of the Grace United Methodist church.<br />
Also surviving with her daughter are another daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Opal) BISEL,<br />
Portland, three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Virgil EBERSOLE, Arcadia,<br />
O.; two sisters, Mrs. Harry BRICKER, Arcadia, and Mrs. Arthur WILLIAMS, Fostoria, O.<br />
Final rites will be at 1 p.m Tuesday in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home. <strong>The</strong> Rev.<br />
Laurence SMITH will officiate. Burial will be in the Green Park cemetery in Portland. Friends<br />
may call at the funeral home.<br />
Alice Gedcus<br />
Mrs. Alice GEDCUS, 70, R.R. 4, <strong>Rochester</strong>, died at 3:45 p.m. Sunday in Woodlawn<br />
hospital where she had been a patient three days.<br />
Born Oct. 21, 1903, in Regia, Latvia, she had resided here 20 years, moving from<br />
Chicago.<br />
Surviving are her husband, John GEDCUS, two daughters, Mrs. Carl (Delores)<br />
LILLWITZ, Chicago, and Mrs. John (Charlotte) BULGER, also of Chicago, and a son, John<br />
GEDCUS Jr., of Monticello.<br />
<strong>The</strong> body has been removed from the Foster & Good funeral home to the George Redmin<br />
funeral home in Chicago where final rites will be conducted Wednesday. Burial will be in the<br />
Lithuanian cemetery in Chicago. Friends may call at the funeral home.
