Akron; and Mrs. Joseph (Josephine) McCONNELL, Cedar Lake; his step-mother, Mrs. Fred
ROWE, and a stepbrother, Cecil PATTERSON, both of Rochestr.
The family requests that memorials other than flowers be made to the Dr. E. V.
Herendeen memorial coronary and intensive care unit.
Ruth L. Dudgeon
Mrs. Ruth L. DUDGEON, 49, R.R. 3, Rochester, died Saturday at 3:05 p.m. in South
Bend Memorial hospital, where she had been admitted at 12:30 p.m. that day.
Born March 30, 1921, at Flora, she was the daughter of Ross and Bessie McNULTY
LARGEN. Mrs. Dudgeon had resided in the Richland Center community the past 20 years,
moving here from Burket.
Her marriage was March 10, 1951, at Burket, to Dewey G. DUDGEON, county service
officer, who survives. She was a member of the Flora Methodist church and the 31 club.
Surviving, besides the husband, are the mother, R.R. 3, Rochester; one son, John W.
[DUDGEON], Rochester; two granddaughters, Lisa and Jacqueline DUDGEON; four sisters, Mrs.
Wilbur (Vera) YEATER, Logansport; Mrs. Eldo (Ruby) CLAUSON, Nappanee; Mrs. Max (Fae)
LOGSDON, Oxford, Ind; Mrs. Carl (Ethel) EHERENMAN, Mentone; one brother, Wayne
LARGEN, Rochester. Preceding in death were one brother and the father.
Funeral rites will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Foster & Good funeral home with the Rev.
Laurence SMITH officiating. Burial will be in the Richland Center I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends
may call at the funeral home.
Elsie P. Allen
Mrs. Elsie P. ALLEN, 86, R.R. 4, Warsaw, died at 4:55 p.m. Saturday in the Marshall
county hospital at Plymouth. She had been ill three months.
She was born Feb. 13, 1884, in Huntington county and had resided in Warsaw 25 years,
moving from Ft. Wayne. Her marriage was in 1903 to Charles W. ALLEN. He died in 1965. She
was a member of the Third Christian church of Fort Wayne.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Julius FALK and Mrs. Joseph PARSONS, both of Ft.
Wayne, and Mrs. George SHOPELL, of Fremont; Mrs. George SALTER Jr., Pensacola, Fla.; one
son, Dwight ALLEN, Argos; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Final rites will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the D O. McComb funeral home in Fort
Wayne. The Rev. Forrest WEDDLE will officiate. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery at
Roanoke. Friends may call at the Grossman funeral home in Argos until 9 p.m. today and at the
McComb funeral home in Ft. Wayne from 1 p.m. Tuesday until the time of service.
