Arthur DuBois<br />

Final rites will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Gossman funeral home in<br />

Argos for Arthur DuBOIS, 64, R.R. 1, Argos, who died Monday morning of a heart attack. Burial<br />

will be in the Richland Center I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1<br />

p.m. Wednesday.<br />

Born July 1, 1906, at Pittsburg, Kans., he was the son of Samuel and Ida MERTONS<br />

DuBOIS. His marriage was July 27, 1969, to Edna L. McGRIFF, who survives. Mr. DuBois was<br />

a retired employee of the Standard Oil company at East Chicago, Ill., and had resided in the Argos<br />

community the past two years. He had lived in Argos 25 years. He was a member of the First<br />

Baptist church in Hammond.<br />

Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Ida DuBOIS, Terre Haute; two brothers, Oscar<br />

DuBOIS, R.R. 2, <strong>Rochester</strong>, and Napoleon DuBOIS, Terre Haute, and nieces and nephews.<br />

Fred O. Corey<br />

Fred O. COREY, 65, Argos, died at 6:30 p.m. Monday at his residence. Death was<br />

attributed to a stroke.<br />

Born April 8, 1905, in Argos, he was the son of William and Lantie WICKIZER<br />

COREY. His marriage was Oct. 27, 1947, at Plymouth to Eileen McCARTHY, who survives. A<br />

retired mechanic of the Marshall county highway department, he had resided in Argos two years,<br />

moving from Plymouth.<br />

Surviving with his wife are four sisters, Mrs. Albert (Rose) WILSON, Ionia, Mich.; Mrs.<br />

Helen CHAPPALL and Mrs. Ruth MILNER, both of Syracuse; Mrs. Frank (Doris) PARSONS,<br />

Fremont, Ind.; three brothers, Mark [COREY], Plymouth; Dale [COREY], Knox; Neal [COREY],<br />

of South Bend. Two brothers preceded in death.<br />

Final rites will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in the Grossman funeral home in Argos. <strong>The</strong><br />

Rev. Jacob WAECHTER will officiate. Burial will be in the Argos Maple Grove cemetery.<br />

Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m Wednesday.<br />

Glenn Barnett<br />

Mrs. J. B. (Glenn) BARNETT, 90, died Tuesday at 1:04 p.m. at the Ridgedale nursing<br />

home in South Bend. A <strong>Rochester</strong> resident until May, 1968, she had lived with a son, Edwin<br />

[BARNETT], at Granger before moving to the nursing home.<br />

Born April 9, 1880, in Kewanna, she was the daughter of Edwin and Carolyn<br />

HENDRICKSON. Her marriage was Oct. 25, 1898, at Kewanna, to Joseph B. BARNETT, who<br />

died Sept. 19, 1942<br />

Mrs. Barnett was a member of the Trinity United Methodist church.<br />

Surviving are five sons, Joseph [BARNETT] of Culver, who is president of Associates<br />

Ind. of South Bend; Edwin [BARNETT[, Granger; Roscoe [BARNETT], Mishawaka; Dean<br />

[BARNETT], South Bend and Carl [BARNETT], Des Plaines, Ill.; fourteen grandchildren; thirtyone<br />

great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Preceding in death were two sisters<br />

and two brothers, including O. M. HENDRICKSON of this city.<br />

Last rites will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home with the<br />

Rev. Raymond HARRIS of Mishawaka officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.<br />

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. Thursday until<br />

the hour of service.
