Final rites will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Gossman funeral home in
Argos for Arthur DuBOIS, 64, R.R. 1, Argos, who died Monday morning of a heart attack. Burial
will be in the Richland Center I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1
p.m. Wednesday.
Born July 1, 1906, at Pittsburg, Kans., he was the son of Samuel and Ida MERTONS
DuBOIS. His marriage was July 27, 1969, to Edna L. McGRIFF, who survives. Mr. DuBois was
a retired employee of the Standard Oil company at East Chicago, Ill., and had resided in the Argos
community the past two years. He had lived in Argos 25 years. He was a member of the First
Baptist church in Hammond.
Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Ida DuBOIS, Terre Haute; two brothers, Oscar
DuBOIS, R.R. 2, Rochester, and Napoleon DuBOIS, Terre Haute, and nieces and nephews.
Fred O. Corey
Fred O. COREY, 65, Argos, died at 6:30 p.m. Monday at his residence. Death was
attributed to a stroke.
Born April 8, 1905, in Argos, he was the son of William and Lantie WICKIZER
COREY. His marriage was Oct. 27, 1947, at Plymouth to Eileen McCARTHY, who survives. A
retired mechanic of the Marshall county highway department, he had resided in Argos two years,
moving from Plymouth.
Surviving with his wife are four sisters, Mrs. Albert (Rose) WILSON, Ionia, Mich.; Mrs.
Helen CHAPPALL and Mrs. Ruth MILNER, both of Syracuse; Mrs. Frank (Doris) PARSONS,
Fremont, Ind.; three brothers, Mark [COREY], Plymouth; Dale [COREY], Knox; Neal [COREY],
of South Bend. Two brothers preceded in death.
Final rites will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in the Grossman funeral home in Argos. The
Rev. Jacob WAECHTER will officiate. Burial will be in the Argos Maple Grove cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m Wednesday.

Glenn Barnett
Mrs. J. B. (Glenn) BARNETT, 90, died Tuesday at 1:04 p.m. at the Ridgedale nursing
home in South Bend. A Rochester resident until May, 1968, she had lived with a son, Edwin
[BARNETT], at Granger before moving to the nursing home.
Born April 9, 1880, in Kewanna, she was the daughter of Edwin and Carolyn
HENDRICKSON. Her marriage was Oct. 25, 1898, at Kewanna, to Joseph B. BARNETT, who
died Sept. 19, 1942
Mrs. Barnett was a member of the Trinity United Methodist church.
Surviving are five sons, Joseph [BARNETT] of Culver, who is president of Associates
Ind. of South Bend; Edwin [BARNETT[, Granger; Roscoe [BARNETT], Mishawaka; Dean
[BARNETT], South Bend and Carl [BARNETT], Des Plaines, Ill.; fourteen grandchildren; thirtyone
great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Preceding in death were two sisters
and two brothers, including O. M. HENDRICKSON of this city.
Last rites will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home with the
Rev. Raymond HARRIS of Mishawaka officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. Thursday until
the hour of service.
