Ruth L. Hepler<br />

Mrs. Ruth L. HEPLER, 57, Tippecanoe, died today at 6:20 a.m. at the Murphy Medical<br />

Center, Warsaw, where she had been a patient since Jan. 15.<br />

Final arrangements are pending at the Grossman Funeral home, Argos.<br />

Final rites will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Grossman funeral home in<br />

Argos for Mrs. Ruth Leone HEPLER, Tippecanoe, who died Tuesday in the Murphy Medical<br />

Center at Warsaw.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Rev. Russell GOOD will officiate. Burial will be in the Argos Maple Grove<br />

cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.<br />

Born Aug. 24, 1912, in Rockford, Ill., she was the daughter of Charles and Eva WELCH<br />

HAND. Her marriage was Oct. 15, 1955, to William J. HEPLER, who survives. She had resided<br />

at Tippecanoe six years, moving from Argos. She was a member of the Gilead Methodist church<br />

at Argos<br />

Surviving with the husband are one son, Steven [HEPLER], at home, and the mother,<br />

Mrs. Eva HAND, Tippecanoe.<br />

Ethel Studebaker<br />

Mrs. Ethel STUDEBAKER, 120 West Fifth street, died at noon today at Woodlawn<br />

hospital. Arrangements are pending at Foster & Good funeral home.<br />

Frieds may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday. Rites are set tentatively for 11<br />

a.m. Friday at Grace United Methodist church.<br />

Jesse Earl Graham<br />

Jesse Earl “Rusty” GRAHAM, former <strong>Rochester</strong> police chief, died this morning at 7:30<br />

o’clock at his home, 520 East Ninth street. Death, which was due to a coronary illness, came at<br />

the age of 77 years.<br />

Mr. Graham had retired Dec. 1, 1959, after 20 years of service with the <strong>Rochester</strong> police<br />

department. He had been chief of police eight years during that period.<br />

Born Aug. 13, 1892, in Athens, he had spent most of his life in this city except for a few<br />

years’ residency in Wyoming. His marriage was Oct. 16, 1932, in <strong>Rochester</strong>, to Pearl K.<br />

KRATHWOHL, who survives.<br />

Mr. Graham was a veteran of World War I, a 50-year member of the Leroy Shelton post<br />

of American Legion and a member of the Masonic lodge at Newcastle, Wyo.; South Bend Scottish<br />

Rite, Fort Wayne Mizpah Shrine and a charter member of the Manitou Shrine club.<br />

Surviving, with the wife, are nieces and nephews.<br />

Last rites will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Foster & Good funeral home with the Rev.<br />

Donald LAMBERT officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call after 7<br />

p.m Thursday at the funeral home.
