Arnold B. Creviston
Arnold B. CREVISTON, 56, Lady Lake, Fla., died Friday at 10:45 a.m. in the veteran’s
administration hospital, Gainsville, Fla.
Born Aug. 29, 1913, in Markle, Ind., he was the son of Bert and Myrele HYSER
CREVISTON. Moving from Elkhart where he had been employed by the Excel company of
Elkhart, he had lived in Lady Lake for nine months.
Surviving are three brothers, Auldo CREVISTON, Rochester, Leo CREVISTON,
Warsaw, and William CREVISTON, Tippecanoe; and four sisters, Mrs. John (Ruth)
BRASHEARS, Turlock, Cal., Mrs. Howard (Mary) OVERMYER, Argos, Mrs. Edward (Dorothy)
PHILLIPS, Warsaw, and Mrs. May VANDERMARK, Lady Lake, Fla.
Final rites will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in the McHatton funeral home, Warsaw, with the
Rev. John P. REID officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Wood cemetery, Warsaw, where full
military graveside services will be conducted by the John Peterson American Legion post number
49. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Wednesday and until the services Thursday.
Clara E. Overmyer
Mrs. Clara E. OVERMYER, 65, R.R. 3, Rochester, died this morning at the Indiana
University Medical Center in Indianapolis, where she had been a patient about one week. Funeral
arrangements are incomplete.
Gordon J. Smith
Gordon J. SMITH, 72, Monmouth, Ill., formerly of Kewanna, died Monday at 11 a.m. in
Monmouth.
A retired farmer, he was born July 8, 1897, in Indiana.
Surviving with his wife, Edna [SMITH], are two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn DRYER and
Mrs. Deloris PRYER, both of California; two sons, Russell SMITH, California, and Eugene
SMITH, Lapaz, Ind.; two sisters, Mrs. Cecil RHOADES, R.R. 1, Kewanna, and Mrs. Ethel
BAKER, Okeechobee, Fla.; one brother, Rolland SMITH, Rochester, and five grandchildren.
Final rites will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Harrison funeral home, Kewanna,with the
Rev. Ronald PRILLIMAN officiating. Burial will be in the Kewanna I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends
may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Mary Thompson
Mrs. Mary PALMER THOMPSON, Lowell, died Tuesday at 3 p.m. in her home. She
was the mother of Mrs. Robert F. BERNS, 1412 Main street.
Final rites will be Friday at 3 p.m. in the Sheets Funeral home, Lowell.
