Emma P. Sanders<br />

Mrs. Emma P. SANDERS, 84, R.R. 1, Macy, died at 1:25 a.m. today in Woodlawn<br />

hospital. She had been seriously ill since July.<br />

Born Feb. 11, 1886, in <strong>Fulton</strong> county, she was the daughter of Charles F. and Laura<br />

YOST SMITH. Her first marriage was to Clayton SHAW; he died in 1950. Her second marriage<br />

was in 1951 to Albert SANDERS, who survives. She was a member of the Macy Christian<br />

church.<br />

Also surviving are one son, Ronald SHAW, Indianapolis; a daughter, Mrs. James<br />

(Evelyn) DAVIS, Elgin, Ariz.; two step-daughters, Mrs. Lala HANEY, St. Petersburg, Fla., and<br />

Mrs. Charlotte KWADLE, Pioneer, O.; one sister, Mrs. Bessie EDWARDS, Macy; five<br />

grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Three brothers and<br />

one sister preceded in death.<br />

Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Ditmire-Zimmerman funeral home in<br />

<strong>Fulton</strong>. <strong>The</strong> Rev. Chester WALTHER will officiate. Burial will be in the Plainview cemetery at<br />

Macy. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.<br />

Ada Ancharstrand<br />

Mrs. Hugh (Ada) ANCHARSTRAND, River Forest, Ill., died Wednesday at the home of<br />

her daughter, Mrs. Laura WEST, in River Forest. She was a former <strong>Rochester</strong> resident and a sister<br />

of the late Mrs. Reuben NELSON of Athens. Burial was in the Athens cemetery.<br />

Mary Barber<br />

Miss Mary BARBER, 67, former Akron resident, died at 8 a.m. Monday in the Murphy<br />

Medical Center at Warsaw. She had been a patient since Friday.<br />

Born Nov. 27, 1902, in Beaver Dam, she was the daughter of Walter and Amanda<br />

ROBERTS BARBER. She had resided in the <strong>Fulton</strong> and Kosciusko county areas most of her life.<br />

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Louie SHOEMAKER, Wabash, and Mrs. Galen<br />

WALKER, Laketon. One brother, Russell [BARBER], preceded in death.<br />

Final rites will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the McHatton funeral home in<br />

Warsaw. <strong>The</strong> Rev. Claude FAWNS will officiate. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery at<br />

Akron. Friends may call at the funeral home.<br />

Alice Gertrude DOUD, R.R. 1, Logansport, died this morning in Memorial hospital in<br />

Logansport.<br />

Final arrangements are pending at the Ditmire-Zimmerman funeral home in <strong>Fulton</strong>.
