William M. Baker<br />
William Martin BAKER, 72, of Wabash road, died Sunday at 5:15 p.m. in the R. and N<br />
nursing home, Teegarden, Ind., where he had een a patient for two years.<br />
Born March 17,1898, in Corydon, he was the son of Conrad and Julie MUELLER<br />
BAKER. His marriage was Fe. 13, 1919, to Tressie DEHM. Moving from Illinois, he had lived<br />
here twenty years. He was a former tree trimmer for the Townsend Tree Trimming company, and<br />
was an Army veteran of WW I.<br />
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Hazel) WEAKMAN, of Rocheser, and Mrs.<br />
Robert (Betty) ALDERFER of Marysville, Cal.; four sons, Harry E. BAKER, Eugene BAKER<br />
and Kenneth BAKER, all of <strong>Rochester</strong>, and Weldon BAKER of Warsaw; thirteen grandchildren;<br />
three great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Zula GREEN of Corydon, and one brother, Harvey<br />
BAKER, also of Corydon. One daughter, one brother and his parents preceded him in death.<br />
Final rites will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Foster & Good funeral home with the Rev.<br />
Ronald CRIPE officiating. Burial will be in he Leiters Ford I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call<br />
at the funeral home after 2 p.m Tuesday.<br />
Russell L. Mills<br />
Final rites were today at 10 a.m. in the Foster & Good funeral home for Russell L.<br />
MILLS, 43, 1116 South Wabash avenue, who was found dead in his garage Saturday morning.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Rev. Laurence I. SMITH officiated. Burial was in the Kewanna I.O.O.F. cemetery.<br />
<strong>Rochester</strong> city police were called to the house by Mr. Mills’ neighbors who had not seen<br />
any lights there for three days.<br />
Dr. Wayne L KNOCHEL, <strong>Fulton</strong> county coroner, said Mr. Mills died of carbon<br />
monoxide poisoning sometime Wednesday.<br />
Born Aug. 11, 1926, in South Bend, he had lived here since 1958. A cost accountant and<br />
a former employee of the Kaiser Jeep corporation, he was an Army veteran, serving in World War<br />
II and the Korean War.<br />
Surviving are two aunts, Mrs. Samuel HEDGES of <strong>Rochester</strong> and Mrs. Earl MILLS of<br />
Kewanna.<br />

Loit A. Pletcher<br />
Loit A. PLETCHER, 85, of the Methodist Memorial home in Warren, Ind., formerly a<br />
<strong>Rochester</strong> resident, died unexpectedly Tuesday at 5:45 a.m. in the Memorial home.<br />
Born Sept. 15, 1884, in Hookston, Ill., he was a retired farmer.<br />
Surviving with the wife, Carrie [PLETCHER], who is also of the Methodist Memorial<br />
home, are one son, Robert PLETCHER of Elkhart; one daughter, Mrs. George COOK of Fort<br />
Wayne; four grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Roy PICKETT of Detroit and Mrs. Raymond<br />
KING of Elkhart.<br />
Final rites will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Methodist Memorial home with the Revs.<br />
Gail DAVIS and Albert CLARKE officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill cemetery,<br />
Methodist Memorial home. Friends may call at the home after 7 p.m. Tuesday.
