Esther G. Arvin<br />

Mrs. Esther Glee ARVIN, 61, R.R. 6, <strong>Rochester</strong>, died unexpectedly at 10:15 a.m. Sunday<br />

of an apparent heart attack which was suffered as she was attempting to park her car near the<br />

Baptist church in <strong>Fulton</strong>. An autopsy was to be performed today.<br />

Born July 31, 1909, in Liberty township, she was the daughter of Madison C. and Sarah<br />

Ellen BLOOM CONRAD. Her marriage was Nov. 21, 1945, in <strong>Fulton</strong>, to Claude D. ARVIN,<br />

who survives. A lifetime resident of this community she was a member of the <strong>Fulton</strong> Baptist<br />

church.<br />

Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Berneice NICKELS, <strong>Fulton</strong>; two nieces, Mrs. Robert<br />

(Connie) WALBURN, Greenfield, and Mrs. David (Sue) ROTHERMEL, Logansport; one<br />

nephew, Jack NICKLES, Lewistown, N.Y. One brother preceded in death.<br />

Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Ditmire-Zimmerman funeral home in<br />

<strong>Fulton</strong>. <strong>The</strong> Rev. Franklin ARTHUR will officiate. Burial will be in the Salem cemetery<br />

northwest of <strong>Fulton</strong>. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday.<br />

Sgt. Joseph L. Nunn<br />

<strong>The</strong> Bronze Star, Purple Heart and Good Conduct medals and the Combat Infantryman<br />

badge have been awarded posthumously at Fort Benjamin Harrieson to Army Sgt. Joseph L.<br />

NUNN of Aubbeenaubbee township. Sgt. Nunn was killed in Vietnam April 25. Accepting the<br />

presentations were the soldier’s wife, Mrs. Linda S. NUNN, of Culver. Also present were Mrs.<br />

Raymond ENGELBRECHT, Aubbeenaubbee, mother of Sgt. Nunn; Mrs. Wilmer SLUSHER,<br />

mother of Mrs. Nunn, and Mrs. Nunn’s daughter, Leah [NUNN].<br />

Dr. Howard H. Rowe<br />

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:15 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Catholic church for Dr.<br />

Howard H. ROWE, 62, who died Saturday night at South Bend Memorial hospital after a brief<br />

illness. Official cause of Dr. Rowe’s death was announced today by the attending physician in<br />

South Bend as an aneurysm of the aorta.<br />

Dr. Rowe had practiced medicine here 26 years.<br />

Father George LANNING will officiate at rites and burial will be in the Athens cemetery.<br />

Friends may call at the Foster & Good funeral home, where the Rosary will be recited tonight at 7<br />

o’clock by Father Harold WELLER.<br />

Ann Wagoner<br />

Miss Ann WAGONER, 50, <strong>Rochester</strong>, died this morning. Funeral arrangements are<br />

pending at the Foster & Good funeral home. Services are set tenttively for Thursday at 1 p.m.
