Mrs. Esther Glee ARVIN, 61, R.R. 6, Rochester, died unexpectedly at 10:15 a.m. Sunday
of an apparent heart attack which was suffered as she was attempting to park her car near the
Baptist church in Fulton. An autopsy was to be performed today.
Born July 31, 1909, in Liberty township, she was the daughter of Madison C. and Sarah
Ellen BLOOM CONRAD. Her marriage was Nov. 21, 1945, in Fulton, to Claude D. ARVIN,
who survives. A lifetime resident of this community she was a member of the Fulton Baptist
church.
Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Berneice NICKELS, Fulton; two nieces, Mrs. Robert
(Connie) WALBURN, Greenfield, and Mrs. David (Sue) ROTHERMEL, Logansport; one
nephew, Jack NICKLES, Lewistown, N.Y. One brother preceded in death.
Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Ditmire-Zimmerman funeral home in
Fulton. The Rev. Franklin ARTHUR will officiate. Burial will be in the Salem cemetery
northwest of Fulton. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Sgt. Joseph L. Nunn
The Bronze Star, Purple Heart and Good Conduct medals and the Combat Infantryman
badge have been awarded posthumously at Fort Benjamin Harrieson to Army Sgt. Joseph L.
NUNN of Aubbeenaubbee township. Sgt. Nunn was killed in Vietnam April 25. Accepting the
presentations were the soldier’s wife, Mrs. Linda S. NUNN, of Culver. Also present were Mrs.
Raymond ENGELBRECHT, Aubbeenaubbee, mother of Sgt. Nunn; Mrs. Wilmer SLUSHER,
mother of Mrs. Nunn, and Mrs. Nunn’s daughter, Leah [NUNN].
Dr. Howard H. Rowe
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:15 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Catholic church for Dr.
Howard H. ROWE, 62, who died Saturday night at South Bend Memorial hospital after a brief
illness. Official cause of Dr. Rowe’s death was announced today by the attending physician in
South Bend as an aneurysm of the aorta.
Dr. Rowe had practiced medicine here 26 years.
Father George LANNING will officiate at rites and burial will be in the Athens cemetery.
Friends may call at the Foster & Good funeral home, where the Rosary will be recited tonight at 7
o’clock by Father Harold WELLER.
Ann Wagoner
Miss Ann WAGONER, 50, Rochester, died this morning. Funeral arrangements are
pending at the Foster & Good funeral home. Services are set tenttively for Thursday at 1 p.m.
