George W. Cleland<br />
George Wesley CLELAND, 53, <strong>Fulton</strong>, died at 7:20 p.m. Saturday enroute to Woodlawn<br />
hospital. He had been ill since April 24 with a heart condition but his death was unexpected.<br />
Born July 26, 1916 in <strong>Rochester</strong>, he was the son of Herman “Mike” and Reda<br />
BALDWIN CLELAND. He was a lifetime resident of <strong>Fulton</strong> county. He was married June 5,<br />
1945 in Logansport to Mary Jean POORMAN, who died Feb. 7, 1967. Mr. Cleland had been<br />
employed by the <strong>Rochester</strong> plant of Sealed Power corporation for 14 years. He attended the<br />
<strong>Fulton</strong> Wesleyan church and was a member of Local 221, United Auto Workers union.<br />
Surviving are two sons, Harold [CLELAND], of <strong>Fulton</strong>, and Michael Dean [CLELAND],<br />
at home; daughter, Janice [CLELAND], at home; four grandchildren; three brothers, Glenn<br />
[CLELAND], <strong>Rochester</strong>; Lewis [CLELAND], Mishawaka, and Joe [CLELAND], Mason, Mich.;<br />
three sisters, Mrs. Alfred (Belva) LARGE, Culver; Mrs. Jack (Virginia) TIPPY, Columbia City,<br />
and Mrs. Robert (Barbara) CLEVENGER, Denver, Colo., and nieces and nephews. A brother<br />
preceded in death.<br />
Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the <strong>Fulton</strong> Wesleyan church with the Rev. Ira<br />
HOLT officiating. Burial will be in the <strong>Fulton</strong> cemetery. Friends may call at the Ditmire-<br />
Zimmerman funeral home in <strong>Fulton</strong> after 7 p.m. Monday and at the church for one hour before<br />
services.<br />
Guy A. Biby<br />
Guy A. BIBY, 60, Greentown, died at 4:45 a.m. Sunday in St. Joseph’s hospital in<br />
Kokomo following a long illness.<br />
Mr. Biby was born April 13, 1910, in Tipton county to Sylvenus and Mona BIBY. He<br />
was married to Pauline HIATT, March 5, 1936. <strong>The</strong>y lived in Greentown most of their married<br />
lives. Mr. Biby had been an employee of Continental Steel in Kokomo until he retired in 1964.<br />
In addition to his wife, he is survived by five sons, Guy E. [BIBY], of Gas City; Forest<br />
[BIBY], of Fort Wayne; Lindley [BIBY], of <strong>Rochester</strong>; Dan [BIBY], of Marion; and Mancil<br />
[BIBY] of Greentown; one daughter, Mrs. Donna CLARK, Converse; the step-mother, Mrs. Ella<br />
BIBY, Tipton; one brother, Omer BIBY, Cheraw, S.C.; a sister, Mrs. Ruth COY, Kokomo; two<br />
half-brothers; three step-sisters, and twenty-one grandchildren.<br />
Sevices will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Pickett funeral home in Greentown. <strong>The</strong><br />
Rev. Harold BARDSLEY will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenlawn cemetery in Greentown.<br />
Friends may call at the funeral home.<br />
SP4 Michael Karl Waymire<br />
Final rites have been set for SP4 Michael Karl WAYMIRE, 21, R.R. 2, Macy. He was<br />
serving with Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 501st Infantry, 101st Airborne Division in<br />
South Vietnam, when his defensive position came under attack and he was killed.<br />
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Chili United Methodist church with the Rev.<br />
Tom WILSON officiating. <strong>The</strong> body will lie in state for one hour until the service. Burial will be<br />
in the Gilead cemetery. Friends may call at the McCain country chapel at U.S. 31 and Ind. 16.<br />
He was born June 12, 1949 to Vernon and Martha KARL WAYMIRE. His marriage was<br />
Nov. 30, 1969, in Chili, to June Radene MURPHY, who survives.
