Harry J. Hall<br />

Harry J. HALL, 57, South Bend, died unexpectedly Monday in Rhinelander, Wis. He<br />

was a former <strong>Rochester</strong> resident.<br />

Mr. Hall was vacationing in Wisconsin when he became ill. He had resided in South<br />

Bend the past 10 years, moving from <strong>Rochester</strong>. His wife Mabel [HALL] preceded him in death<br />

11 years ago. He was a bargaining committeeman for the Union at the Bendix corporation.<br />

Final rites will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Hickey funeral home at South<br />

Bend. Burial will be in Monon, Ind. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Tuesday<br />

and from 1 p.m. Wednesday until the hour of service on Thursday.<br />

Mahlon P. Bair<br />

Mahlon Paul BAIR, 79, R.R. 5, <strong>Rochester</strong> (Richland township), died at 5:45 a.m. today in<br />

South Bend Memorial hospital where he was admitted about 10 p.m. Monday after suffering a<br />

coronary attack. He had been in failing health two months.<br />

Born July 24, 1891 in Richland township, he was the son of Edward and Ellen<br />

PERSCHBACHER BAIR. He had resided all his life in the Richland township area. He was<br />

married Sept. 20, 1919 in <strong>Fulton</strong> county to Trella G. KENLY. He was a farmer and a member of<br />

the St. John’s Lutheran church here.<br />

Surviving with the wife is a daughter, Mrs. Mary Louise BAIR, Chicago; a son, Richard<br />

P. BAIR, <strong>Rochester</strong>, and three granddaughters, Ellen, Susanne and Jennifer [BAIR]. A sister and<br />

a brother preceded in death.<br />

Last rites will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the St. John’s Lutheran church with the Rev.<br />

Alfred C. GERNI officiating. Burial will be in the Reichter cemetery. Friends may call at the<br />

Foster & Good funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday until 11:30 a.m Thursday and at the church<br />

for one hour before services.<br />

Coral E. Bryant<br />

Mrs. Coral Etna BRYANT, 82, Culver, died at 9:20 a.m. Monday in the home of her<br />

daughter, Mrs. Norman LaMUNION, R.R. 2, Culver. She had been ill several years.<br />

Born June 20, 1888, in Argos, she was the daughter of Henry and Lucy MOORE<br />

CHAPMAN. Her marriage was Sept. 23, 1907, to Howard L. BRYANT, at Plymouth. He died<br />

May 10, 1946.<br />

She was a member of the Church of God.<br />

Surviving with her daughter are several nices and nephews.<br />

Final rites will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Burr Oak Church of God. <strong>The</strong> Rev.<br />

Ellsworth ROUTSON will officiate. Burial will be in the Culver Masonic cemetery. Friends may<br />

call at the Grossman funeral home in Argos until 10 a.m. Wednesday and at the church from 11:30<br />

a.m. until the time of service.<br />
