Melvin D. Ferguson<br />

Melvin D. FERGUSON, 51, Argos, died Saturday at 9:25 a.m. in Robert Long hospital,<br />

Indianapolis, following an illness of five months.<br />

Born March 31, 1919, in Plymouth, he was the son of Charles and Fern NELLANS<br />

FERGUSON. His marriage was March 1, 1941, in Argos, to Dorothy POWERS, who survives. A<br />

farmer and former machinist at the Bourbon Orthopedic Equipment company, Bourbon, he was a<br />

member of the Argos Congregational Christian church and the Maxinkuckee I.O.O.F. lodge<br />

number 373.<br />

Surviving with the wife are three sons, John, Jerry and James [FERGUSON], all at home<br />

his father, Charles FERGUSON, Plymouth; three sisters, Mrs. Walter (Bernice) OTT, Cincinnati,<br />

O., Mrs. Robert (Violet) HAM, Plymouth, and Mrs. Glendyn (Marjorie) ALBRIGHT, Argos, and<br />

five brothers, Clifford, Donald and Floyd [FERGUSON], all of Plymouth, Robert [FERGUSON],<br />

Niles, Mich., and Lloyd [FERGUSON], Racine, Wis. One sister and his mother preceded in<br />

death.<br />

Final rites will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Argos Congregational Christian church with<br />

the Rev. Jacob WAECHTER officiating. Burial will be in the Argos Maple Grove cemetery.<br />

Friends may call at the Grossman funeral home, Argos, until noon Tuesday and then at the church<br />

one hour before services. <strong>The</strong> family requests that memorials other than flowers be made to the<br />

Argos Congregational Christian church building fund.<br />

Rudolph G. Boelter<br />

Final rites will be Tuesday in the Born funeral home, Shawano, Wis., for Rudolph G.<br />

BOELTER, 74, Shawana, who died Saturday in Woodlawn hospital following a heart attack.<br />

Burial will be in the Lake Drive cemetery, Shawano.<br />

<strong>The</strong> body has been taken from the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home here to the Born<br />

funeral home.<br />

Boelter, who had been visiting Mr. and Mrs. Ira BAKER, <strong>Rochester</strong> when he suffered the<br />

heart attack, was born May 1, 1895, in Mayville, Wis. His marriage was June 25, 1919, in St.<br />

Joseph, Mich., to Louise WILSON, who survives. A retired floor decorator, he was a member of<br />

World War I Barracks 2179 and the American Legion, both of Shawana.<br />

Surviving with the wife are two sons, Martin R. [BOELTER], Shawano, and William F<br />

[BOELTER], Chicago; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth EINREINER, Shawana; one brother, Arthur<br />

[BOELTER], Chicago; one sister, Mrs. Allen BUCHANAN, Arkansas; five grandchildren, and<br />

one great-grandchild.<br />

Etta Hall<br />

Final rites were held last Wednesday at Stanton, Ky., for Mrs. Etta HALL, 84, Stanton,<br />

who died April 6 at St. Joseph’s hospital in Lexington, Ky., from the effects of a broken hip.<br />

Mrs. Hall and her husband, the late T. C. HALL, resided on their farm west of the city<br />

from 1939-46. Mr. Hall died Feb. 2, 1949. Mrs. Hall was a member of the Christian church.<br />

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Edwin LOCKRIDGE, Mt. Sterling, Ky., and Mrs.<br />

Tom KNOX, Stanton; two sons, Kenneth HALL, <strong>Rochester</strong>, and Rex HALL, Clay City, Ky.; a<br />

sister, Mrs. Sylvia MELTON, <strong>Rochester</strong>, and ten grandchildren.<br />

Burial was in the Macphelah cemetery at Stanton.
