Robert L. Finger<br />
Robert L. FINGER, 70, R.R. 1, Royal Center, died at 2:40 p.m. Sunday of a heart attack<br />
suffered while he was driving on <strong>County</strong> Road 1000 West in Jefferson township.<br />
Born Feb. 28, 1900, in Morrison, Tenn., he was the son of John L. and Frances Elizabeth<br />
SPRIGER FINGER. His first marriage was Feb. 10, 1929, to Ethel KISTLER. She died in 1950.<br />
His second marriage was to Ida Louise BOWMAN. She died Aug. 20, 1969. Mr. Finger was a<br />
retired highway employee and a veteran of World War I.<br />
Surviving are two sons, Jim [FINGER], of Fort Wayne; Neil [FINGER], of R.R. 1, Royal<br />
Center, and Mrs. Sarah THOMAS, of <strong>Rochester</strong>; eleven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.<br />
One brother, a step-sister and one son preceded in death.<br />
Final rites will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Harrison Garden chapel in Royal<br />
Center. <strong>The</strong> Rev. Carl POLSTRA will officiate. Burial will be in the Royal Center cemetery.<br />
Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Tuesday.<br />

Nina M. Gould<br />
Mrs. Nina May GOULD, 88, 219 West Seventh street, died at 3:05 a.m. today in the<br />
<strong>Rochester</strong> nursing home, where she had been a patient since March of 1967. She had been ill for<br />
three years.<br />
She was born May 21, 1882 in Sanford, O., to Jacob and Elizabeth ZELLERS DITMER.<br />
She had lived here since 1963, moving here from Anderson. She was married Aug. 3, 1904 in<br />
Jnesboro, Ind., to George V. GOULD, who died Dec. 11, 1966. She was a member of the<br />
Anderson Methodist church.<br />
Surviving are a sister-in-law, Mrs. Mary INMAN, <strong>Rochester</strong>; a niece, Mrs. Dorothy<br />
HART, Marion, and a nephew, Richard DITMER, Syracuse.<br />
Last rites will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Foster & Good funeral home with the Rev.<br />
Allen JUMP officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery here. Friends may call after 7<br />
p.m. Wednesday.<br />
Homer Clay<br />
Homer CLAY, owner of Clay Plumbing and Heating, 205 Jefferson street, died about 11<br />
a.m. today at Memorial hospital, Logansport. Funeral arrangements are pending at <strong>The</strong> Foster &<br />
Good funeral home.<br />
Effie L. Reese<br />
Mrs. Effie L. REESE, 87, Beaver Dam Lake, died at 9:15 p.m. Monday at her residence.<br />
She had been ill several years.<br />
Born March 14, 1883, near Yellow Creek lake, she was the daughter of Edward and<br />
Hanna SLICE HOHMAN. Her marriage was Sept. 24, 1904, at Burket, to Bert A. REESE, who<br />
survives. She had resided in the Beaver Dam area most of her life and was a member of the<br />
Burket United Methodist church<br />
Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Beulah) GOSS, Warsaw; four<br />
grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. One daughter and one brother preceded in death.<br />
Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the King Memorial home in Mentone. Burial<br />
will be in the Palestine cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 p.m. Wednesday<br />
until the time of service on Thursday.
