widow or widower, as the case may be, the administrators of the estate, the legatee, devisees,<br />

trustees and executors of the last will and testament of any of the above named defendants who is<br />

dead, and all of the women once known by any of the names above stated who may have changed<br />

their names and who are now known by some oher names, is unknown and upon diligent inquiry<br />

cannot be ascertained.<br />

Said defendants, and each of them, are hereby notified that they must answer plaintiff’s<br />

complaint in writing, in person or by attorney within 30 days from the date of the last publication<br />

of this notice, that is, within 30 days from the 30th day of October, <strong>1970</strong>, or judgment will be<br />

entered against them for what plaintiff has demanded.<br />

Said defendants and each of them, are further hereby notified that if they or any of them<br />

have a claim for relief against the plaintiff arising from any transaction or occurrence alleged in<br />

plaintiff’s complaint, such claim for relief must be asserted by them in their written answer.<br />

Roscoe J. Burkett<br />

Roscoe J. BURKETT, 80, R.R. 1, Akron, died at 7 a.m. today at the Caylor-Nichol Clinic<br />

in Bluffton following a three-month illness.<br />

Born Feb. 15, 1890 in Athens, he was the son of Thomas and Annie JOHNSON<br />

BURKETT. He was married in Chicago in 1908 to Orpha ROWE, who died in 1964. His second<br />

marriage was to Velda PENROD, who survives. He was a farmer and a member of Akron<br />

Masonic Lodge 659, Akron Order of Eastern Star 410, Athens United Methodist church and the<br />

<strong>Fulton</strong> <strong>County</strong> Farm Bureau.<br />

Surviving with the wife are two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Jean) WALTERS, R.R. 1, Akron,<br />

and Mrs. Jack (Ferol) HAMMOND, North Manchester; three sons, Raymond [BURKETT], of<br />

Spooner, Wis.; Norman [BURKETT], of R.R. 1, Akron, and Orville [BURKETT], of <strong>Rochester</strong>;<br />

fourteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; a step-daughter, Mrs. Lee (Glee)<br />

EBERLY, South Whitley; a step-son, Joseph GAMBY, Liberty, Ind., and seven
