Amos Clark<br />
Amos CLARK, 82, Bruce Lake, died Friday at 8:10 p.m. in Canterbury Manor following<br />
an illness of several years.<br />
Born March 29, 1888, in Anderson, he was the son of Henry and Ann HELMS CLARK.<br />
A retired resort owner and originator of Clark’s Park, Bruce Lake, he was a member of the Park<br />
Place United Methodist church, Anderson.<br />
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Joan WILLIAMS, Rockville, Ind.; two grandsons,<br />
Richard WILLIAMS, Bloomington, and John COOPER, Jr., Anderson; two granddaughters, Mrs.<br />
Beverly PASCHAL, South Bend, and Mrs. Alma Jane WEEKS, Chesterfield, and ten greatgrandchildren.<br />
Final rites will be Monday at 10 a.m. in the Harrison funeral home, Kewanna, with the<br />
Rev. Glenn CAMPTON officiating. Burial will be in the East Maplewood cemetery, Anderson.<br />
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.<br />

Rolla F. Bucher<br />
Rolla F. BUCHER, 79, R.R. 1, Silver Lake, died Sunday at 12:40 a.m. in Wabash county<br />
hospital following an illness of three weeks.<br />
Born June 1, 1890, in Wabash county, he was the son of Frank E. nd Emma ZELLERS<br />
BUCHER. His marriage was March 18, 1918, in Kosciusko county, to Laura RICE, who died in<br />
1950. A retired carpenter and veteran of World War I, he was a member of the VFW, the<br />
American Legion, and the Moose lodge, all of <strong>Rochester</strong>.<br />
Surviving are one son, Frank BUCHER, R.R. 1, Silver Lake; three grandchildren, and<br />
four great-grandchildren. Two brothers preceded in death.<br />
Final rites will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m in the Silver Creek Church of God, five miles<br />
south of Akron. <strong>The</strong> Rev. George RESER will officiate. Burial will be in the Silver Creek<br />
Church of God cemetery. Friends may call at the Sheetz funeral home, Akron, until noon Tuesday<br />
and then at the church one hour before services.<br />
Retha Geyer<br />
Last rites will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Welsheimer funeral home at South Bend<br />
for Mrs. Retha PRATT GEYER, 77, South Bend, who died Saturday at South Bend Memorial<br />
hospital where she had been admitted the day before.<br />
Mrs. Geyer’s husband, Dr. Claude L. GEYER, died April 24 of this year. She was a<br />
native of <strong>Rochester</strong> and a 1911 gradauate of <strong>Rochester</strong> high school. Mrs. Geyer was reared in this<br />
city by Mr and Mrs. Lyman BRACKETT, Sr., and had resided in South Bend 57 years.<br />
Born in <strong>Rochester</strong>, Sept. 13, 1892, she was a member of the First Presbyterian church and<br />
the Mother’s Study club. She was a former teacher at Laurel school in South Bend.<br />
Surviving are two daughers, Mrs. William CARLETON, South Bend, and Mrs. John<br />
WINANT, Wiliiamstown, Mass; five grandchildren; two step-brothers, Roy and Dea FULTZ,<br />
<strong>Rochester</strong>, and a stepsister, Mrs. Kenneth THOMPSON, <strong>Rochester</strong>.<br />
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. <strong>The</strong> Rev. Daniel FOWLER<br />
will officiate at last rites and burial will be in the North Liberty cemetery. Memorial contributions<br />
may be made to the Stanley Clark School Scholarship Fund or to the First Presbyterian church.
