Nelson Overmyer<br />

Nelson OVERMYER, 62, of 10285 Harrison road, Osceola, a native of Richland<br />

township, died Sunday at the Osteopathic hospital in South Bend, after a brief illness.<br />

Mr. Overmyer had lived in Talma until he went to Osceola 17 7ears ago. He was born in<br />

Richland township to Walter Lee and Gwendolyn LONG OVERMYER. He married Olenene<br />

BRODT of Delphi July 27, 1949. Mr. Overmyer was retired from Bendix of Mishawaka and was<br />

a veteran of World War II. He also was a member of the <strong>Rochester</strong> F&AM Lodge 79.<br />

He is survived by his wife Olenene; two sons, Tom [OVERMYER] of Osceola, and Gene<br />

[OVERMYER] of Los Angeles, Cal., and a daughter, Shirley OVERMYER of Las Vegas, Nev.<br />

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Warner funeral home in Osceola. <strong>The</strong> Rev.<br />

Thomas FROST will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home.<br />

Pearl L. Gochenour<br />

Mrs. Pearl L. GOCHENOUR, 66, R.R. 4, <strong>Rochester</strong>, died at the Pulaski county hospital<br />

at Winamac, Tuesday at 9:15 p.m., following an illness of eight months. Mrs. Gochenour was<br />

admitted Tuesday afternoon.<br />

She was born in North Bend township, Starke county, to John and Lucinda CHANEY<br />

BARLEY, November 11, 1903. She had lived in Rocheser since 1938, moving from North<br />

Liberty May 5, 1920, she was married to Samuel RENSBERGER, who died May 2, 1958. In<br />

1968 she married Herbert GOCHENOUR, who survives.<br />

Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Fern) HILAND, Edwardsburg, Mich.; four<br />

sons, Roy RENSBERGER, R.R. 5, <strong>Rochester</strong>; Dean RENSBERGER, R.R. 4, <strong>Rochester</strong>; Herman<br />

RENSBERGER, Plymouth, and Rowdy RENSBERGER, R.R. 2, Argos; nineteen grandchildren;<br />

eleven great-grandchildren; two step-children, Mrs. Wesley Cholris CHEESMAN, R.R. 4,<br />

<strong>Rochester</strong>, and Bill GOCHENOUR, of R.R. 6, <strong>Rochester</strong>; ten step-grandchildren, and eleven stepgreat-grandchildren.<br />

Also surviving is a brother, Henry CHANEY of Ora.<br />

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Foster & Good funeral home with the Rev. Curtis<br />

SYLVESTER officiating. Burial will be in the Bass Lake cemetery at Bass Lake. Friends may<br />

call after 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.<br />

William Becraft<br />

William BECRAFT, Huntsville, Ill., died Wednesday evening in the Macomb, Ill.<br />

hospital. He was the father of Ernest BECRAFT, <strong>Rochester</strong> resident. Final rites will be<br />

conducted Friday afternoon in the Cookston funeral home in Augusta, Ill.
