Alice Williams<br />

Mrs. Alice WILLIAMS, 82, R.R. 4, <strong>Rochester</strong>, died at 12:20 a.m. today in Woodlawn<br />

hospital, where she was admitted Friday.<br />

Born Sept. 14, 1887 in Wynne, Ark., she was the daughter of David and Ellen Allen<br />

GRAHAM. She had lived in this area 18 years. Her husband, Arthur WILLIAMS, preceded in<br />

death.<br />

Surviving are a brother, James GRAHAM, Chicago; a grandson, Eric ISRAEL,<br />

<strong>Rochester</strong>, and an adopted son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar TATE, <strong>Rochester</strong>.<br />

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Zion Gospel chapel at <strong>County</strong> Roads 1100 West<br />

and 300 South, with the Rev. Leon HOFER officiating. Burial will be in the Leiters Ford I.O.O.F.<br />

cemetery. Friends may call at the Easterday-Bonine funeral home in Culver after noon on<br />

Monday until 11 a.m. Tuesday and at the church after that.<br />

Helen L. Castleman<br />

Final rites were conducted Saturday in Great Falls, Montana for Mrs. Helen Louise<br />

CASTLEMAN, 68, native of <strong>Rochester</strong>, who died unexpectedly Thursday in a Great Falls<br />

hospital. Born Nov. 1, 1901, in <strong>Rochester</strong>, Mrs. Castleman lived in Indiana until she moved to<br />

Arizona as a young woman. She was a graduate of <strong>Rochester</strong> high school and a former<br />

schoolteacher at Richland Center. Among the survivors is her sister, Mrs. Hazel CESSNA,<br />

<strong>Rochester</strong>, a nephew, Eldon CESSNA and one niece, Mrs. Gene KELLEY, both of <strong>Rochester</strong>.<br />

Herma N. Wolf<br />

Miss Herma N. WOLF, 72, Mishawaka, died at 4:35 p.m. Monday in the Cardinal<br />

nursing home in South Bend where she had been a patient two weeks.<br />

A former <strong>Rochester</strong> resident, she was born June 26, 1898, in Logansport, the daughter of<br />

George and Angeline BALL WOLF. She moved from <strong>Rochester</strong> to South Bend in 1924. Miss<br />

Wolf was a former schoolteacher and taught in <strong>Rochester</strong> schools. She retired from teaching in<br />

1922. She was a member of the <strong>Rochester</strong> Trinity United Methodist church.<br />

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Everett (Dessie) GREATHOUSE, <strong>Rochester</strong>, and Mrs.<br />

Max (Mary) McCARTER, of Peru, and nieces and nephews.<br />

Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home. <strong>The</strong><br />

Rev. V. A. LALLEMENT will officiate. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery here. Friends<br />

may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
