Carl W. Henderson<br />
Carl W. HENDERSON, 60, Culver, died Thursday at 5:15 p.m. in Norman Beatty<br />
hospital, Westville, following an extended illness.<br />
Born April 23, 1909, in Culver, he was the son of Levi and Eldora KEEN HENDERSON.<br />
His marriage was March 26, 1936, inculver, to Edna GOHEEN, who survives. He was a lifetime<br />
resident of Culver and a member of the Culver United Methodist church.<br />
Surviving with the wife are two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Patricia) COUNTS, Nappanee,<br />
and Mrs. Donald (Kay) MUEHLHAUSEN, Culver; six grandchildren; two brothers, Frank<br />
HENDERSON, Culver, and Ray HENDERSON, South Bend, and two sisters, Mrs. Carroll<br />
(Grace) DOXZEN, South Bend, and Mrs. Earl (Jane) BUFFO, Goshen.<br />
Final rites will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Grossman funeral home, Argos. <strong>The</strong> Rev.<br />
Carl Q. BAKER will officiate. Burial will be in the Masonic cemetery, Culver. Friends may call<br />
at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today. <strong>The</strong> family requests that memorials other than flowers be<br />
made as contributions to the Heart Fund.<br />

Winsell D. Zartman, Sr.<br />
Winsell D. ZARTMAN, Sr., 41, 1715 Monroe street, died Friday at 6:45 p.m. in his<br />
home. He had been ill three years.<br />
Born Oct. 11, 1928, in <strong>Rochester</strong>, he was the son of Dewey M. and Bernice WELLER<br />
ZARTMAN. His marriage was May 26, 1951, in St. Louis, Mo., to Barbara HOOKS, who<br />
survives. He had lived most of his life in the <strong>Rochester</strong> area and was a maintenance foreman for<br />
the Marion division of the Erie-Lackawanna railroad. He was also a member of the First Christian<br />
church, <strong>Rochester</strong>, and a veteran of the Korean conflict.<br />
Surviving with the wife are one daughter, Debra [ZARTMAN], at home; two sons,<br />
Winsell [ZARTMAN], Jr., and Douglas Scott [ZARTMAN], also at home; his mother and stepfather,<br />
Mr. and Mrs. Ray SHELTON, <strong>Rochester</strong>; one sister, Mrs. Roger (Betty) YEIDER, Fort<br />
Wayne; one brother, Jack M. ZARTMAN, Cocoa, Fla.; five nieces, and two nephews. His father<br />
preceded in death.<br />
Final rites will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in the Foster & Good funeral home. <strong>The</strong> Rev.<br />
Josef PALAT will officiate. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery, <strong>Rochester</strong>. Friends may call<br />
at the funeral home after 3 p.m. today. <strong>The</strong> family requests that memorials other than flowers be<br />
made as contributions to the Cancer Fund.<br />

Robert L. Rusler<br />
Robert L. RUSLER, 69, <strong>Rochester</strong>, died Sunday at 12:45 p.m. in Woodlawn hospital. He<br />
had been ill several months.<br />
Born Sept. 12, 1900, in Spencerville, O, he was the son of James and Elizabeth EICHE<br />
RUSLER. His marriage was Dec. 10, 1918, in Hillsdale, Mich., to Mabel BRAMAN, who<br />
survives. Moving from Huntington, he had lived in the <strong>Rochester</strong> area for 25 years and was a<br />
retired passenger conductor with the Erie-Lackawanna railroad and a member of the Veterans<br />
association of Huntington.<br />
Surviving with the wife are one son, Dr. W. J. RUSLER, <strong>Rochester</strong>; two granddaughters;<br />
one great-granddaughter, and two brothers, William F. RUSLER, Fresno, Cal, and Charles
