William Gerrich<br />

William “Willie” GERRICH, 87, R.R. 1, Twelve Mile, died at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at<br />

National nursing home in <strong>Rochester</strong>. He had been ill several years.<br />

Born Oct. 24, 1882, in Hagerstown, Pa., he was the son of William and Mary Jane<br />

BLACK GERRICH. His marriage was April 13, 1904 to Manie MILLER, who preceded in death<br />

on Jan. 1, 1952.<br />

Mr. Gerrich was a retired farmer and had lived in the Twelve Mile area since 1936,<br />

moving from Miami county.<br />

Surviving are four sons, Walter [GERRICH], <strong>Rochester</strong>; Harold [GERRICH], LaPorte;<br />

Earl [GERRICH], Nyona Lake, Donald [GERRICH], Cleveland, O.; two daughters, Mrs. Albert<br />

(Katherine) BRUBAKER, Laketon, Mrs. Harold (Arlyne) GREENE, LaPorte, one sister, Mrs.<br />

Naomi BUTLER, Columbia City; seventeen grandchildren, and thirty-two great-grandchildren.<br />

Two brothers, eight sisters and two grandchildren preceded in death.<br />

Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Ditmire-Zimmerman funeral home in <strong>Fulton</strong>.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Rev. Franklin ARTHUR will officiate and burial will be in the <strong>Fulton</strong> cemetery. Friends may<br />

call at the funeral home.<br />

Adolph Mitchell<br />

Adolph MITCHELL, 63, Akron, died at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at Woodlawn hospital of a<br />

coronary attack.<br />

Born Feb. 19, 1906 in Tennessee, he was the son of Walton and Easter BROWN<br />

MITCHELL. His marriage was in 1952 to Miriam DERSHEM, who survives.<br />

A 20-year resident of Akron, he was a decorator and painter. He was a member of the<br />

Akron United Methodist church and a World War II veteran, serving in England and France.<br />

Surviving with the wife are three daughters, Priscilla and Hanna [MITCHELL], both at<br />

home, Mrs. Robert (Norma) JOHNSON, Lebanon; one son, Howard [MITCHELL], Dearborn,<br />

Mich.; two brothers, Archie and Lloyd [MITCHELL], both of Canton, O.; seven sisters, Mrs.<br />

Pauline BATES, Peru; Mrs. Effie HERTSELL, Cuyahoga Falls, O., Mrs. Annie Belle BROWN,<br />

North Canton, O.; Mrs. Stella PUCKETT, Canton, O.; Mrs. Mary BIRDWELL, Cookville, Tenn.;<br />

Mrs. Nina PUCKETT, Cookville, Tenn., Mrs. Millie WARD, Evergreen, Ala, and four<br />

grandchildren.<br />

Final rites will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Haupert funeral home in Akron. <strong>The</strong> Revs.<br />

Daniel PINKSTON and Claude FAWNS will officiate and burial will be in the I.O.O.F. cemetery<br />

at Roann. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday until one hour prior to<br />

services.
