George Duncan<br />
Word has been received by Mrs. Garry DANIELS of <strong>Rochester</strong> of the unexpected death<br />
in Florida Saturday night of George DUNCAN. He was the husband of the former Mary Jane<br />
ALSPACH of <strong>Rochester</strong>. <strong>The</strong> Duncans moved in February from Brighton, Ill., to Sun City<br />
Center, Fla. Funeral arrangements are pending the arrival of a son, who is with the Armed Forces<br />
in Germany.<br />

Final rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Grossman funeral home in<br />
Argos for J. Richard REED, former Argos resident, residing in Park Ridge, Ill., who died<br />
Thursday in London, England.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Rev. W. Ray KUHN will officiate. Burial will be in the Richland Center cemetery.<br />
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.<br />
Born Feb. 9, 1920, near Hamlet, he was the son of Jacob and Mattie TRIMBLE REED.<br />
His marriage was Oct. 13, 1945, in Argos, to Winifred FLEMING, who survives. He was a<br />
graduate of Argos high school and resided in that community 10 years prior to moving to Park<br />
Ridge, Ill. He was a sales representative for Dunn and Bradstreet company for the past 30 years<br />
and a member of the Argos Masonic lodge.<br />
Also surviving are three sons, Gregory [REED], of Kokomo, David and Jimmy [REED],<br />
both at home; two sisters, Mrs. Francis (Margaret) LaTURNER and Mrs. Walter (Ann) HARLEY,<br />
both of Argos; two step-brothers, Floyd FLETCHER, Culver, and Elmer FLETCHER, of Argos.<br />
Maude E. Sipson<br />
Mrs. Maude E. SIPSON, 86, Lake Geneva, Wis., died early Sunday morning in the<br />
Homestead nursing home in Delavan, Wis. She had been a patient one year.<br />
A former resident of Lake Manitou and <strong>Rochester</strong>, she was born Jan. 27, 1884, in<br />
Spartansburg, Pa. Her marriage was Aug. 16, 1910, in Spartansburg, to William E. SIPSON, who<br />
preceded her in death.<br />
Mrs. Sipson had been residing the past years with a niece, Mrs. R. G. NEUBURGER,<br />
Lake Geneva, Wis.<br />
Surviving are one brother, Arthur WINANS, Harrison, Ark., and nieces and nephews.<br />
Three sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.<br />
Final rites will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Zimmerman Brothers funeral<br />
home. <strong>The</strong> Rev. Laurence SMITH will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Zion cemetery.<br />
Friends may call at the funeral home aftr 5 p.m. Wednesday.
